The Reincarnated Vampire Wants an Afternoon Nap – 01

Hello, I’m the new guy. I’m super lazy and was supposed to have this done last week. (๑≧౪≦) I got help with editing from our pet crayfish Kuroe so it should be amazing.

Thanks to Este for enslaving giving a spot to me and I guess all that’s left to say is, enjoy.

I Died In My Sleep

“… It’s a white room.”

When I awoke this morning, I found myself in a stark white room.

Really, it’s so white that it’s impossible to tell where the walls and ceiling are.

Whether it’s a narrow space or a wide space is also vague. Just looking at it is unsettling.

“So you have finally awoken, new reincarnator.”

“Haa… Good morning.”

“… You give a lighthearted response.”

No, I just woke up badly. My head isn’t working just yet.

For now, I’ll just ask this disembodied voice some questions.

“Where am I?”

“This is the reincarnation room. Here you pick where you will be reincarnated and what race you shall be reincarnated as.”

This person’s voice sounds like a little girl, but speaks like an old man.

“… So I died, Loligramps-san.”

“Sadly, yes… wait, Loligramps!?”

“Yes. Loligramps-san.”

“You… how rude.”

“Sorry, is Grandpa Loli better?”

“That is not the problem! The ordering of words and what I want to say are two separate things!”

Really, to yell at someone who just woke up. He’s kinda an annoying person.

While standing up and stretching to shake off drowsiness, I question the loligramps.

“Nh, mm… How did I die?”

“You move quickly huh… no matter. The cause of your death was sleep apnea.”

Sleep apnea syndrome.

It’s that, where you just stop breathing in your sleep… right?

“You usually aren’t supposed to die from sleep apnea though. It just raises your risk of cerebrovascular disorders and heart diseases.”

“Hmm? That’s what I heard though. Still, your death was indirectly caused by sleep apnea. Really, the upper management does sloppy work… Anyways, you died. Got it?”

“Haa, I understand.”

I don’t know anything about the upper management, but if I died, there’s nothing that can done. I didn’t suffer, so I guess that’s good. It’s much better than dying while in pain and suffering. Instead of living a long life and dying while suffering, dying while young and quickly is much more ideal.

“Then… reincarnation? Why reincarnation? Is there a rule where if you die from sleep apnea you get reincarnated?”

“No, it is just that your soul is… how would you say… passionless.”

“Passionless… is it?”

It was as the voice said, normally I am a passionless person, a person without a scrap of motivation.

I am an existence of self-indulgence, a parasite clinging on to and surviving off of parents.

“Without a doubt I am like a speck of dust on earth, or maybe it’s better to say I’m merely extra baggage, an existence that offers no benefits for being around, like the uvula or appendix.”

“Your self-evaluation is harsh!”

“Well it’s all true. And, what is the point in reincarnating such a passionless person? Go force this on to another a person with more drive. Like a person who died screaming, ‘Noooooo, I won’t die yeeeet!’ would be better right? Then, goodnight.”

“Wait, don’t just say such an obvious answer and casually go back to sleep. Also, what is with that strangely dramatic performance!?”

The futon disappeared before my eyes. Without even leaving time to blink, it really gave off a feeling of vanishing into thin air.

… This, doesn’t seem to be a dream.

Haa. What a pain. I miss my futon.

Heroine Imouto – 002

For readers who may not follow me on Ainushi Translations or read my other works – Happy Life & Underground Dungeon, I’ve recently started up a Twitter account: @Ainushi

I usually post about updates for my translation works including Heroine Imouto. If you want to read teasers for this before I post the next chapter, feel free to follow my Twitter account.

Warning: Teasers only go up a few days before impending release. I don’t have a set schedule in mind for Heroine Imouto yet.

TL;DR: No, this project is not dead. It’s alive. You’ll get chapters. Just be patient.

Etiquette begins with posture.

Feet aligned, spinal column firmly straightened, hands held together in front. To stand in a way that was unashamed, and yet graceful, was actually pretty difficult.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Yes, that’s right. Ojousama, pull your chin in a little….. Yes, remain still like that for five minutes」
「Ngnn…..」
*maccas*
*maccas*
Being forced into an unnatural position, even as I groaned, I obeyed Mariywa’s words. Trying to maintain a good posture while making it look natural and relaxed was like trying to look both ways at once.

The knowledge from my old life proved rather useless in my day-to-day life here.

Speaking of my previous life’s knowledge, it was quite fragmented; very little of it was clear. The knowledge that was clear was completely useless. As I am in a position to succeed as a blue blood, all of it was pretty useless.

However, inside that hodge-podge knowledge, only one was different and had a connection with my current life.

That knowledge was a story called『Labyrinth Destiny』

In my old life, we had a form of entertainment called an ‘otome game’, and uh, if I had to describe it with the knowledge from this life, I guess it’s a really story-rich paper theatre? Characters were drawn in a vivid and highly-stylised manner, and the images were replete with accompanying text and a multitude of choices.

If that was all, then as curious as it was, it would still just be memories of entertainment, but what was shocking was that the story told of my own future.

『Labyrinth Destiny』was a story, set a decade from now, that depicted Mishuly as the protagonist.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Ojousama. You’re being too conscious of your posture and standing too stiffly. Relax a little more….. And as you do so, you must not slouch your shoulders, nor lose your focus, and get rid of only your tenseness.」
「Aye aye, ma’am!」
「Though I do not understand what you have just said, I implore you to give me that ridiculous response once more. When you do, I suspect that you will understand how unique today’s whipping will be」
「Yes, Miss Toinette」
*maccas*
*maccas*
Whoosh, rang the whip in Mariywa’s hand. When I saw that, I put on my graceful ojousama mask in a panic. I’m sealing off those words from earlier.

It was when I first met Mishuly. I was struck by her cuteness beam, which, as a result, caused me to remember the knowledge from my past life, starting with the story『Labyrinth Destiny』

However, the knowledge that I recalled, because of my meeting with Mishuly, was merely knowledge in the end, and not memories.

Although the knowledge was certainly unique, to I, who was raised and grown as a genius, it was nothing that could rattle me in the slightest.

In other words, since the moment I was born until now, I have been Christina Noir.

And although this knowledge was both directly relevant and incredibly important, and because of this knowledge, I could predict a portion of the future, giving me a tremendous advantage. Unfortunately for me, those advantages do not extend to etiquette lessons.

That was why, today, I have to bear with Mariywa’s hazings. After mastering the posture, next was how to walk, how to sit; from how to greet and all the way to how to speak, and so on, as well as how they’re all tied together. But before we began training in that order, there was a question on my mind.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Hey, Mariywa」
「It’s Miss Toinette, Ojousama. Earlier, I was shocked at your admirable attitude and speech. You do know that, if you were to properly maintain that mask, I would have no reason to whip you?」
「….. Miss Toinette. There’s something I would like to know. Is that permitted?」
「Yes. What is it?」
*maccas*
*maccas*
Since Mariywa wouldn’t respond when I spoke normally to her, I reluctantly made use of the ojousama speech that she had driven into me to ask my question.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Why are you piling books on top of my head?」
*maccas*
*maccas*
For some reason, for my posture training, Mariywa had started piling books on top of my head. It was just one; two to three were piled up. Not to mention, the books were just plain thick and my neck felt pressed. It was kind of hard to breath.

If they fell, they would hit my foot and it would likely be a painful ordeal, so I silently endured it, although this situation was somewhat quite baffling for me. I had thought that we were supposed to be learning etiquette here, but could it be that I was practising to become a new street performer?

As I was thinking this, she placed yet another book onto my head.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「This is historically the correct way to practice. By placing books on top of the head, it means that you will be conscious of your body; retaining composure and a sense of balance. Having those books fixed on top of your head will earn you a wonderful posture. Even walking with those books balanced on your head is possible」
「Hohou」
*maccas*
*maccas*
Mariywa’s words meant that I need to pay attention whilst moving in order to avoid the books from falling, such confidence.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「As expected, isn’t this part of a performance!」
「Absolutely not」
*maccas*
*maccas*
Again, she added another book on top of my head.

My neck hurts.

In total, ten volumes of books were on top of my head. With that, I was made to walk one lap around the room, as if I was training for a street performance. By the time I was seated for my meal, I was tormented by a dull pain.

As Mariywa had already left, mealtimes at my home’s estate were peaceful. But I had just started on table manners etiquette and there doesn’t seem to be an end to it – was what I thought, slightly depressed. Seated in the seat of honor was my Father. Seated beside me was Mishuly. At this moment, we were in the midst of eating the main dish, a sautéd fish.

But my neck was still hurting. Honestly, my neck had to bear and support the burden from the top of my head, and somewhere at the back of my neck was absolutely sore. My neck was well twisted. This was all Mariywa’s fault. Everything was Mariywa’s fault.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Onee-sama, are you okay?」
*maccas*
*maccas*
In the midst of mealtime, it seemed that I often rubbed the back of my neck. Seated in the seat beside me, Mishuly had gently extended her hand to the back of my neck.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Your neck, what’s wrong with it?」
「Ah, this is compensation for learning a street performance, it’s nothing big to make a fuss of」
*maccas*
*maccas*
To ease Mishuly’s concerns, I endured the pain and laughed. Mishuly and I aren’t blood-related.

Our appearances were completely different after all, so I suppose you could say that it was a natural conclusion. Unlike the black hair and eyes I have, Mishuly was a blond haired, blue eyed angel. Although, just like me, both of us were from the great Noir lineage, my younger sister, Mishuly, did not inherit our blood.

Mishuly came to the Noir house about two years ago. I was around five years old; it was the period when I had exhausted all of the books in the library.

At that time, I heard an adopted child was coming to our house, and began to sulk a little.

In the situation of a noble household adopting a child, the general assumption is that of retrieving a lover’s child. Anyhow, thinking about the fact that somewhere, Father had a child with his mistress and had brought it back, was sickening. The adoption felt like an act of insult to my dead Mother and I was irritated at Father; even the adopted child’s existence felt irritating.

Should I just bully her? My head was filled with irritation as I harbored these kinds of stupid thoughts when I went to meet Mishuly for the first time.

I thought an angel had descended.

Soft, curly blond hair and sparkling blue eyes. Struck by a charming cuteness that seemed to light up the whole universe, I ended up remembering my past life’s knowledge and the like.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Onee-sama. Pain pain, fly away~!」
「Fufu. Thanks, Mishuly. All of the pain has flown away. As thanks, ah~~nn」
「Ah~~nn!」
*maccas*
*maccas*
For gently using a charm to kindly stroke the pain at the back of my neck away, I moved a slice of tonight’s main dish into Mishuly’s mouth. Gleefully, Mishuly opened her mouth wide and gulped down the sautéd fish.

Cute.

Reflexively, my cheeks softened.

In my memories of the story『Labyrinth Destiny』, Mishuly was the heroine. This world’s God apparently has good taste. After all, he knows quite well who the cutest person in the world is. The fact that he chose Mishuly means that he has quite a good eye. Next time, when we pay a visit to the church, I think I’ll praise him just a little.

My little sister was just so overwhelmingly cute that it actually made sense that the world was made for her.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Onee-sama. My turn, ah~~nn!」
「Ah~~nn」
*maccas*
*maccas*
Mishuly tried her very best and struggled to use the knife and fork to cut up a slice for me. I chewed on the food that was changed into the most delicious thing in the world like magic.

It became so damn delicious that I thought my jaws would fall apart.
*maccas*
*maccas*
「Soo~~ tasty~~,Onee-sama」
「Right~~ It’s so tasty~~ Mishuly」
「He– Hey, Christina, Mishuly. Father also would–」
「Otou-sama’s seat is too far so it’s impossible!」
「Impossible~!」
*maccas*
*maccas*
There was a distance between Father’s seat at the head of the table, and where the two of us sisters were sitting. Joining with Father, we continued a harmonious conversation, although there was just one thing about my past life’s knowledge that I couldn’t stop thinking about.

In『Labyrinth Destiny』, the one useful thing to come out of my previous life’s knowledge was that Mishuly was the heroine of this world.

Well, of course, Mishuly – my most beloved younger sister and an archangel that descended from the heavens – suited the position the most.

But conversely, there was still another role that I couldn’t accept no matter what.

In the romance-heavy『Labyrinth Destiny』, the one who served as Mishuly’s foil was Christina Noir. In this world, she would shun, oppress, and obstruct the protagonist who was loved by the world, and in the end, through her misdeeds, personally caused her own ruin.

That’s right.

The villainess noble girl who did unforgivable deeds to my beloved sister, Mishuly, was none other than me.

Chapter 4 – “What a frail bunch. Looks like I’ll have to retrain them from scratch.”

Thanks to the vampire attack, the security in Arcudas has rapidly worsened. After all, the guards are the ones responsible for dealing with crime, and the majority of them were killed by demons. It can’t be helped that crime is on the rise.

Today as well, I heard about some scary things like some wealthy merchant house being robbed by burglars, or how somebody was stabbed to death by a knife. It really makes a chill run down your spine. Not only that, but apparently pickpockets and purse snatchers have been on the rise too. The public safety is on par with the slums in my old life.

The state is desperately working out countermeasures, but there just hasn’t been enough time or helpers. Thanks to that, the citizens can’t help but rely on themselves instead.

Milay-san, from the textiles store on West Road, is one of them. Apparently she sent out an emergency request to the Adventurers Guild to guard her store. There’s more than enough possibility of our restaurant being threatened too. After all, just looking at our furnishings is enough to tell you that they’re high class, and more importantly there’s treasure lying all about downstairs.

Hahhh~ Thinking about it, isn’t Or being too careless! Is he an idiot or something! How can you just leave all that treasure lying about without even using a safe or a lock! What’s wrong with that guy!

Or could it be that it only looks unguarded because it’s a hidden holiday villa? Without guards or safes around, you wouldn’t expect there to treasure after all…

Nono, even so, there’s a limit to these things. The way it is now is like screaming ‘please rob me’. I’ll never get it. I’ll never get how the rich think.

Anyway, thankfully our shop is at least known as “the favourite shop of the Guild’s rising star, Mühen”. I guess the effect is a bit like how in my old life you’d get those stickers that said “police may be patrolling in casual clothing”.
It does seem to be working because we haven’t had a burglar once yet. I guess they’re on guard because they know that an expert swordsman hangs around here.

But that doesn’t mean I can relax. It’s true that Myuu comes here a lot, but it’s not like he’s here every day. He’s got work at the Guild, after all. To put it frankly, when Myuu isn’t here, our shop is as good as defenceless. If it’s just numbers then we have a huge number of self-proclaimed “guards”, but apart from me they’re a bunch of quacks. If a burglar really invades, they’re all as good as dead.

I mean, we do still have our secret weapon, Edim, but Edim has school, and more importantly that anything, she can’t guard in the open. If people realised she was a vampire, she’d end up on a wanted list after all.

Fumu. This won’t do.

Thinking about it carefully, our security is on a tightrope. It would be great if we could hire some adventurers just like Milay-san, but…

We don’t have the money for that. I can’t borrow any more of Or’s money after all. I’ll think about that after I actually make some profit. Until then, I guess I have no choice except to rely on those weaklings[the “leaders” of the Evil God Army]…

Hmm, but it’s possible, or rather, extremely likely, that I’m actually stronger than all of them. Would they even be any use at all as guards? No, right? At best, they’d run off for help, or buy some time for us…

Huu~ Can’t be helped. Maybe they’d get a little stronger if I trained them.

The next day…

I’m in one of the rooms in the Evil God Army’s Underground Empire. Yesterday I went around looking for a room that was suitable for training. This one has enough room for dozens of people to move about, there’s no expensive furnishings, and nothing else to worry about. That’s why I called Timu and the others here.

“”We have arrived at your summon, Tilea-sama!””

“You’re all here, guys?”

“No, Mühen is presently undercover in the Guild so he is absent. Shall I call him here?”

“No, there’s no need.”

Unlike you lot, Myuu is actually working, okay. You’d better not get in his way. Also, Myuu doesn’t need to be here this time.

“So, the reason I called you guys out here. It’s been pretty crazy lately, hasn’t it. That’s why I’m going to teach you have to defend yourselves.”

“G-, Goodness, Tilea-sama herself is going to instruct us!?”

“Oneesama! How long I have waited for this moment! Please, please do guide me!”

Timu, Pervert(Nielsen), just everybody was brimming with excitement. You guys really do love this stuff, don’t you.

“Just so you know, we’re not playing around, okay? I’m serious here!”

“”Of course! We will risk our lives to learn!””

“Mn, I guess your enthusiasm is good enough.”

“Then, what kind of technique will you be instructing us in?”

“Oneesama, I hope it will be some kind of magic. Some ultimate magic of destruction and chaos.”

“I would very much like to learn a pugilistic skill.”

“I humbly ask you that you demonstrate your Seven Hundred and Seventy-Seven Techniques of the Evil God.”

You guys always get so excited for chuuni stuff.

“Ah~ Before all of that, I’d like to have a look at your physical abilities, so we’re going to do an endurance test.”

“An endurance test?”

“Mn, like pushups and stuff.”

“U-, Umm, Tilea-sama, by pushups, do you mean those pushups?”

“Or, what on earth are you saying? What other kinds of pushups are there?”

“No, um… Of course, you couldn’t mean normal pushups, could you? That is, regarding the way we do them and…”

“Of course she doesn’t, Ortissio! If we did normal pushups, we’d go on for hundreds of millions of them. It would never end.”

“M-, My sincere apologies. It is a test given by Tilea-sama. Magic will probably used to change things somehow.”

“Obviously. Considering it is Tilea-sama, there’s no doubt that it must be some unfathomable training method that none of us have ever thought of.”

Even though I just had normal pushups in mind, everyone started arguing about how it wasn’t this, or wasn’t that.

I see. How on earth could this lot ever want to do normal pushups. Well, they’re a bunch that hate actual work after all. Should I mix some chuuni into it? If I do, at least they’d be happy about it, and they’d probably try harder too.

“Huhu, well guessed. Normal pushups wouldn’t be interesting at all.”

“Oohh, I knew it!”

Everyone started looking at me expectantly. What should I do now…

Mn! It has to be that! If you’re a chuunibyou, then it has to be training under heavy gravity.

Yup, the gravity manipulation magic, Pettanko[Gravity Spell]. If I apply extra gravity to them, I’ll bet they’ll love it.

But I’ve only used elementary magic. Can I do it? It sounds like something that would be pretty tough. I mean, it’s gravity magic, right? Would something like that be more like advanced, or at least intermediate magic?

Hm~mm, thinking about it won’t help. I’ll just wing it!

I started to imagine the Pettanko[Gravity Spell].

And then…

“EEI! PETTANKO[Gravity Spell]!”

The moment I released my magic, the whole room seemed to thud with the weight.

Ooh, a success. I did it!

Well, as you’d expect, making it ten times gravity or something amazing was out of my league. All that happened was… Um, it feels like an extra kilo on me?

Haha, magic is really so fun.

Because I don’t have much mana, my spells are never really great, but it’s still really enjoyable seeing all the effects.

Now then, I wonder if everyone else is having fun too.

I looked at Timu and the others. From their expressions, they all seemed to be enduring something, just like they were in some 100x gravity room. As expected of chuunibyou. Guess they’re really loving it.

“How is it, everyone? I tried changing the gravity of the room, but…”

“I-, I am shocked. A magic to change gravity? I know the theory as well, but as expected of you, Oneesama. To think that you could really actualise it.”

“Magnificent, Tilea-sama. I can sense that the whole room has had its gravity magnified a hundredfold.”

Pervert(Nielsen) immediately got on board. I know how you feel. Isn’t there just something exciting about ‘a hundred times gravity’? Well, it barely feels like a kilo extra for me, but I’ll play along with you.

“As expected of you, Niel. That’s exactly right. Now then, we’re going to do pushups under a hundred times gravity. Well? Aren’t you all excited?”

“As expected of Tilea-sama! I never would have thought that there could be such a training method.”

“Huhu, looks like you’re plenty excited. That’s a good thing. Well then, get ready.”

“”Milady.””

All of them got down, ready to start.

“Well then. Begin!”

“Onee… Twoo…”

At my signal, everyone began doing pushups in sync.

With this, I can see how your endurance is.

I began looking around. The most excellent one was…

Timu! As expected of my little sister! Her arms were trembling a little, but she still managed proper pushups.

I think she’ll reach the fifteen mark that I set for everyone.

Next is…

Dryas-kun I guess. A bit behind him was Pervert(Nielsen). I’d be happy if these two reach 7 or 8. After all, just a few pushups was enough to make their arms tremble, and their sweat was really wetting the floor.

I can’t say I didn’t expect it, but Dryas-kun was a real life example of “Beautiful guys have no money or strength.”
Since Dryas is an elf, I think I should train him up a little more. As for Pervert(Nielsen), well, he was just as expected. All enthusiasm and no power. I think he’ll be done after four or five, really.

The real problem was…

Or and Muram. They haven’t done even one the whole time. But well, Muram is kind of fat, so I guess it can’t really be helped. It’s tough just supporting that body, isn’t it.

But Or, you…

“Or, try your best to at least do one, okay?”

“Hahh, hahh… T-, Tile… hahh, hahh, sama, under… stoo… d…”

It’s no good. Or was at his limit. I could even see his muscles creaking. Just as I was feeling shocked by him,

“…Fifteen, hahh, hahh, sixtee…. c-, can’t.”

At sixteen pushups, Timu fell to the ground. Incidentally, Dryas-kun made it to seven, and Pervert(Nielsen) made it to five before falling to the ground.

“You really gave it your all, Timu.”

“Hahh, hahh, hahh, hahh, O-, Oneesama, tha――”

“Ahh, don’t force yourself to talk, okay? Just lay there and catch your breath,” I said, as I passed a towel to her.

Dryas-kun and Pervert(Nielsen) were wheezing as well. Should I give you guys some towels too? When I gave them their towels,

“GUAHHHHH!”

I suddenly heard a piercing scream. It was Or.

“Or, w-what’s wrong?”

“M-, MY ARM BROKEEE!”

Yeah, you have to be careful――I mean!

How one earth can you break your arm just doing pushupssss!? Is it even possible to be that weakkk!?

When I had a look, Or’s arm was completely snapped.

Your typical rich kid. Lacking in training, and lacking in calcium. I bet he just eats whatever he likes, and never does any exercise either. Looks like I’ll have to change his eating habits as well. What a long journey we have ahead of us.

But well, I’ll think up a regime for him late. First, we need to treat him.

I asked  Timu to come over and heal Or’s arm. Thanks to that, his arm quickly recovered. Magic really is so convenient.

Huu, but even though we’ve only just done pushups, the only one who passed was Timu. Just how weak are these guys?

To think they’d even lose to a magician-type like Timu…

“You guys just listen to me as you rest.”

“”Milady.””

“You know, to be honest I wanted to teach you a little ‘Judo’ after our endurance test. It’s a technique from my old life, you see.”

“‘Juudoh’ is it! How very fascinating. Please do teach us.”

“Don’t be hasty. Before I can teach you anything, you need to train your bodies first. It’s the fundamentals. All of you are too weak. Right now the only one who passed was Timu.”

“Tilea-sama, does that mean that if we wish to learn the technique, we must reach Camilla-sama’s record of fifteen pushups?”

“Yeah, if you can’t even do that much, Judo is out of the question.”

“F-, Fifteen under this gravity!? I-, Impossible. Just standing here is taking everything I have,” muttered the pale Or.

Yeah. He couldn’t even do one, so of course he’d think like that. But it’s a matter of diet for him too.

“Or, the way you are now, I’m sure it would be. But leave it to me. I’ll come up with a training regime just for you.”

“Tilea-sama, t-, to guide the likes of me, you would actually go so far…?”

Or was so moved he began to tear up. Yeah. First we’ll get you some milk, huh.

“Also, Muram, you need to slim up. With your current weight, the rest of the training is impossible.”

“I understand.”

“Also, I was thinking this as I watched you, but you can’t just focus on the number. Each one of your pushups has to be in correct form. Form is more important than the quantity.”

“Form?”

“Yeah, form. I’ll show you what I mean.”

I got down and began doing perfect pushups.

“A-, As expected of Oneesama! To move so effortlessly under such gravity.”

“Huhu, that’s natural. A mere hundred times gravity? I can’t feel a thing.”

Huhu, to be honest with you, in my old life I used to do correspondence karate, and from manga and novels I’ve read all there is to know about pushups. Since my physical abilities were too low in my old life I couldn’t do it, but right now I feel like I could go on forever.

Getting carried away, I started doing one-handed pushups too. After that, I switched to finger pushups.

They kept getting more and more shocked.

Yupyup, this is going surprisingly well. I’ve been training with my wok since I was a kid, after all. I’ve got quite a bit of strength. Actually, would I actually be like a 3rd Dan in karate or something? At the very least, I’m sure I could win at the Greater Tokyo Karate Tournament.

Chapter 3 – The Evil God Army War Council

In the western streets of the Arcudas capital stood a certain restaurant.

Its name was “Berum Restaurant – Capital Branch”.

In that shop existed a certain staircase that led underground. Were one to descend that staircase, at the bottom would be so large a space that one would wonder if it didn’t cover the entire city.

This space was divided into countless rooms, each filled with numerous furnishings of incredible luxury…

Truly, an underground empire. Even the Royal Palace could not compare.

And in one of the rooms in this underground empire, the leaders of the Evil God Army were currently gathered.

The Evil God Army Viceroy, the General Commander, the First to Fourth Division commanders, as well as the various captains, each one of them with mana easily surpassing 10,000. Each one possessing strength that exceeded this world’s common sense. A gathering of elites.

And sitting in the first seat amongst them as she lorded over the room was Viceroy of the Evil God Army, Camilla, who possessed noticeably more power than even these elites. Behind her on each side were General Commander Nielsen, and Chief of General Staff Dryas.

The Second Evil God Army Strategy Meeting was about to begin…

Since ancient times, the war councils had always begun with Camilla’s announcement.

“Everybody. The war council begins. First, take a seat.”

At her beckoning, all the gathered leaders sat down.

“Dryas, you begin.”

“Milady. Our first agenda is the intelligence gathering. The Magic Academy has been left to Camilla-sama, the Adventurer Guild to Mühen, and all the other areas to Belnandes. Everyone, please give a simple report on what you have discovered. Well then, could I trouble you, Camilla-sama?”

“M-, Me, huh? At Oneesama’s wish, I have been infiltrating the Magic Academy since the Month of the Fire Hammer. However, I have discovered nothing of use. Truly filled with nothing but riff-raff. I must apologise to Oneesama, but I believe that it would be best that I withdraw from there.”

“I see. I also believe that there is no need for Camilla-sama to personally gather intelligence,” agreed Nielsen.

“I-I also feel the same way. Even if Camilla-sama doesn’t trouble herself, I will continue gathering information at the Academy,” added Edim.

Many of the other leaders nodded in agreement as well. However, Chief of General Staff Dryas frowned at the sight.

“However, it was Tilea-sama’s strong wish that you do so. Camilla-sama, I must apologise, but please continue your mission.”

“Y-, You certainly have a point but, I-, I-…”

“Camilla-sama! Please endure it! We must not go against Tilea-sama’s desires. As Chief of General Staff, I strongly advise that you continue your mission.”

“Uuuu… For how long must longer must I listen to the ravings of primitives…?”

“You are my parent, and my heart aches at your plight. However, we must not allow personal feelings to become involved. In the end, I must take action to prioritise Tilea-sama’s will!”

“Mumu! You are right. It was my mistake. I will continue to endeavour at my mission.”

Hearing Camilla’s reply, Dryas smiled in satisfaction.

“Then next is Mühen. Report on the situation of the Guild.”

“Sir. This one registered at one of the major guilds. However, they had no personnel of note. Even their A-Ranked and B-Ranked high-level adventurers could be dealt with by a single soldier of our army. Far weaker than even our foot soldiers. To say nothing of C-rank and below. Good-for-nothings like those would be food for Gargan at best.”

“I see. There is no use in gathering information at a den of weaklings like that. Perhaps it would be better if Mühen withdrew as well.”

“However, this one is presently only a D-ranked adventurer. The fact is that the currently available information is limited. Perhaps the Guild is yet hiding some elite as their secret weapon.”

“I see. Then Mühen, you will continue your infiltration of the Guild.”

“Sir. This one will promptly raise his rank to S.”

After Mühen finished his report, Dryas turned to Belnandes.

“Then Belnandes, report on the general situation.”

“Sir. First I will report on the surrounding area. There are dozens of nations around the Kingdom of Arcudas, but they are nothing to be concerned with. Each one of them is a small nation, and one of our divisions would be enough to crush them. If I had to name a subject worthy of caution, it would be a bustling trade nation to the northwest; the Manafint Confederation.”

“Fumu. How powerful is their war potential?”

“At best, perhaps roughly the same level as the  Kingdom of Arcudas. However, it is not the nation itself that is worthy of concern, but the Witch of the Forest that is said to reside there.”

“The Witch of the Forest, you say?”

“Yes. Apparently the Manafint Confederation treats a certain forest as a forbidden zone, and a witch is said to live there. Although the nation did send punitive armies on occasion, allegedly nobody ever returned. By now, the Manafint Confederation has given up on controlling the forest.”

“Hohh~” interrupted Camilla, “The Witch of the Forest? That might not be totally boring. I will go subdue her.”

“You have your mission at the Magic Academy, so please do not,” replied Dryas.

“Uu, b-but, ‘the Witch of the Forest’. Doe she not sound quite strong? Is there anyone who could beat her except me? If you’re worried about the Academy, I am more than capable of handling both.”

“Camilla-sama, I will come up with a plan to invade the Manafint Confederation at a later date, so please do not do anything hasty.”

Dryas glared harshly at Camilla.

“G-, Got it. Don’t glare at me like that. I will endure, okay?”

“I greatly appreciate your understanding. Well then, onto our next agenda. As the base of our operations, there is a need to completely control the Kingdom of Arcudas. By Tilea-sama’s wishes, we cannot move too conspicuously. Accordingly, we have decided to control the nation from the background, and ordered Edim to turn the leaders of this nation into her kin. Edim, report on your progress.”

“Y-Yes. At present, approximately 67% of its leaders are in our hands, with the rest of them being taken over on a preferential basis. Over a thousand members of the military follow my orders.”

“A little less than 70%… Edim, are you not being a little too lax in your efforts?”

Dryas sent a sharp look at Edim.

“M-, My apologies. With Remilia in charge of the Public Safety Force, her surveillance makes it difficult for the vampirisation of her subordinates. Ah-, if we were allowed to vampirise Remilia herself then it would speed things along, but…”

“You cannot. Remilia has been left to move freely as part of some plan of Tilea-sama’s. We cannot interfere with her plans.”

“Understood. But with Remilia’s intense surveillance, I don’t think it would be possible to infiltrate any further…”

“Fumu… Edim. How goes the vampirisation of the king?”

“There is no problem on that front. I have already made him my kin, so he will move as I say. I had already vampirised the Captain of the Royal Guard earlier, so taking the King was a simple matter.”

“Then apply pressure from above, and temporarily separate Remilia from her Public Safety Force. You can simply use that chance to turn the leaders of the Public Safety Force into your kin.”

“Sir. I will immediately do so.”

After that, Dryas turned to Ortissio.

“Moving onto the next agenda, the expansion of the Evil God Army. At present, the Second Division has been attacking settlements in the vicinity of the Royal Capital and resupplying soldiers and money. Ortissio, report your results.”

“Sir. Over the last month, my unit has defeated over thirty beastman settlements.”

“How fierce was the resistance? Were there any promising talents?”

“Sir. We have captured all the ones of decent promise. Also, all settlements showed considerable resistance. The reason was that they were filled with many hot-blooded young beastmen who were eager to rebel. Because of that, there was a need for our side to make a show of force. Once we did, however, they became as meek as kittens.”

Ortissio happily listed off his achievements.

“Hmph, feeling pretty good about yourself just for defeating some petty beastmen, aren’t you,” interjected Camilla again.

“N-, Not at all, Milady.”

“Well then, Ortissio, how goes the procurement for the Evil God Army’s treasury?” continued Dryas.

“W-, Well, we have not yet done so. H-However, I was on an expedition and the time to do so was…”

“Enough excuses. Ortissio, do you even have any sense of loyalty!”

“M-, My deepest apologies.”

“And how long do you intend on forcing Oneesama to stay in this hovel?” interjected Camilla again.

“I have been increasing the quality of the furnishings here, but…”

“And I am telling you that it’s too slow! This is Oneesama’s home! How long are you going to keep it decorated with third-rate garbage!”

“Hii! M-, My deepest apologies.”

“I have grown tired of your apologies, Ortissio!”

“Show us some results, Ortissio!”

“H-, Hic, my most sincere apologies.”

Just as Ortissio hung his head under the harsh criticisms of his comrades, the door to the room suddenly opened.

“Wahh! There’s so many people here today, too. I’ve made food, so everyone hurry up and eat.”

“Why if it isn’t Oneesama. Everyone, the strategy meeting concludes here. Outrageously, Oneesama has gone out of her way to cook us food.”

“Tilea-sama, it brings us shame to make you call for us. We will immediately head over.”

“Tilea-sama, we very humbly accept your feast.”

“Yepyep, eat up before it’s colddeh?――Or!? Are you crying again?”

“H-Hic, w-, why if it isn’t Tilea-sama. I have shown you something unsightly.”

“Aahh, geez~ Everyone, didn’t I tell you to stop bullying Or! Aren’t we all friends!”

Tilea’s rebuke caused everybody to shrink.

“Aah, T-, Tilea-sama, what kind words you speak for s-, someone like me…”

“Hahhh~ There there, come on, don’t cry.”

Schizophrenia – Chapter 12

Chapter 12. 13 coming soon™ (relatively).

When Lilia’s face showed displeasure at hearing her words, Tina flusteredly corrected herself.

“Uhmm… Sorry for keeping you, Lilia.”

“Very good. I do not mind. Since with this we managed to become friends after all.”

Saying so with a smile, Tina also gave an embarrassed laugh. Having exchanged their greetings, Lilia hurried towards her room. Alisa, who was silent throughout, naturally also followed suit.

“That was splendid, Mistress Lilia.”

‘Thank you’ was Lilia’s reply as she continued to advance. Almost as if she was escaping from that location.

—Sakura. Everything was fine back there right? She won’t think it strange right?

—With all that’s happened up until now, it’s quite strange no matter how you think about it. There should be some suspicion of being fake yeah!

—Stop messing around.

—How cold~. Well, yup. You did well. In fact it was completely contrary to expectations, in a good way. I hadn’t expected you to suddenly become friends.

Lilia’s feet came to a halt. Behind her Alisa also stopped, tilting her head as she waited for Lilia’s next move.

—Ahh, everything’s fine okay. As I said earlier, you did great. You really worked hard!

—Then… Very well…

Lilia herself thought that she was being quite hasty back there. If anything it should have been better if she didn’t declare a friendship right then and there. Especially due to having been treated so badly, Tina certainly should have been harbouring resentment at this point. Thinking about it, Lilia didn’t even know what kind of face she should be making the next time they meet.

—I think that girl was simply happy about it though.

However, in the end she just couldn’t fully believe in Sakura’s words after all.

All of the rooms on the third floor were of the same construction, but they were quite large all the same. Lilia’s room was no exception; while not as large as her room at the Estate, it was still reminiscent of a comfortable life. In the large room all the furniture needed for daily living were prepared, with nary a speck of dust on any of them. It was such a thorough cleaning, one would not think that the place had been left by its owner for over two weeks.
On one side of the room two doors stood out from the wall, leading to the separate bedroom and bathroom.
Lilia proceeded to the middle of the room, sat down on the prepared chair, and sighed deeply.

“Mistress Lilia. I shall go confirm the luggage now.”

“Right. Please do.”

Alisa gave a bow and headed for the bedroom. Lilia’s belongings were delivered and carried in the day before. Therefore Lilia herself had arrived empty-handed.

—Well then, Lilia. What will you do from tomorrow on?

At Sakura’s prompt, Lilia gave it a little thought and answered.

—That’s not something to think too deeply about right. I will go to school.

—Uh huh. Hey escaping from reality is no good. I’m talking about regarding the prince and Tina.

Lilia’s words were cut off by an “Uu”, and she diverted her eyes to the window. Opposite to the door they entered from was a window that provided a good view of the outside scenery. After having looked out for a while,

—Ooi, Liliaaa, come on baack.

Sakura called. With a cramped face, Lilia responded.

—I’m, thinking…

—Really… Then, what will you do when you meet the prince?

—I will avoid him as much as I can… I have already resolved to give up on His Majesty, though when I actually see him again, I have no idea how it will turn out.

—Well that’s a pretty wise judgement. Then, what about Tina? What will you do about your ‘friend’? This is certainly unavoidable.

This was something Lilia understood even without being told by Sakura. She definitely couldn’t ignore the matter concerning Tina. Saying that they should become friends, avoiding her immediately after and going back on her words was something she could not do.
It would be fine if it was just Tina. Meeting her, she could talk to her like she just did earlier. The problem was that in doing so, the prince would almost certainly appear as well.

—By the way, I won’t make a peep regarding this stuff you know. You should try doing what you want to do.

—Are you… Trying to test me?

—Well then, I wonder.

Sakura snickered happily. Lilia heaved a heavy sigh and then shook her head as if changing gears.

—Sakura. Let us study.

—Ohh, it sure is rare hearing that coming from Lilia!

While her words were mocking, it seemed Sakura was actually surprised. Other than on that first day, Lilia herself had never suggested studying. It was always Sakura urging her to do so. The simple reason being that Sakura’s lessons were so hard that she ended up feeling it was somewhat tough to go through.
Today however, she felt that it was better to do so. It could be said that this was more of her escaping from reality, but at the very least she wanted to concentrate on something else.

—But, how about we have a different person instruct you for today.

So came this response from Sakura. Lilia’s eyes widened at the unexpected proposal. For Sakura, whose voice no one else could hear, how on earth could she possibly request for anyone else.

—Since Alisa is quite knowledgeable in magic, today let’s learn some things regarding that. Alright, let’s go ask her!

Now that she mentioned it, Lilia also recalled – during her time back at the mansion there wasn’t a sliver of magic in her studies. Even as she learned everything else from Sakura, only the topics of magic and etiquette were not touched upon. On that point, Alisa was knowledgeable on these things Sakura did not know, almost as if she was there to perfectly compensate for what Sakura lacked.
But even so, having to learn from a maid was something she wanted to avoid no matter what. Lilia made a difficult expression as groaned when,

“Mistress Lilia, is something the matter?”

Before she knew it, Alisa was standing before her. In her usual maid outfit, she looked at Lilia with worry filled eyes. Presenting a lightly bitter smile, she shook her head to assure Alisa that it was nothing.

“Alisa. If I am not mistaken, you are knowledgeable in magic yes?”

“Eh? Yes, indeed… Compared to the Madam it would seem like mere child’s play, but I should know enough to the degree of being able to graduate from the academy.”

—What is with this girl, is she actually something amazing?

—Yup. In the first place for the sake of the magically inept Lilia they wanted a girl well versed in magic, which led to her being hired here.

—First I’ve heard about this.

—You should have heard about it. Though you probably just had no intention of paying attention around then.

That being the case, this was probably from before her shut-in period. If that was the case, she certainly paid no heed to anything she held no interest in then.

—About me being poor at magic, there was no such thing though?

—Like you can say that. Even though, always being compared to your mother, you’d be in self loathing at how you couldn’t be as great as her.

—……

Reika-sama – 068

Everybody, please check the FAQ first before asking me questions.
If it’s not on there, please feel free and ask. I only get annoyed at questions when the same one has been asked 10+ times, and by then I’ll have updated the FAQ.

Thank you for your consideration, guys!

Also, I still have a report on Monday, and a final exam on Tuesday, so I’m still translating a bit slowly.

Evil God Army members, assemble: https://discord.gg/0usrKNKKbEkpFdiV

The next day, I was afraid of going to school.
I was already nervous about people looking at me differently because I unveiled ‘Domineering Reika-sama’, but I also went and disparaged Kaburagi in the salon, so if that spread I’d be completely isolated.
And as for how angry Kaburagi was… Just imagining it was terrifying!
Looking left and right for any enemy attacks, I carefully entered the classroom.
He wasn’t here yet. But I can’t let down my guard.

“Good morning, Reika-sama.”

“Gokigen’you, Reika-sama.”

My friends all greeted me with a smile. What nice smiles. Is it because they got to vent their pent-up feelings?

“Gokigen’you.”

I sat down at my seat. And then people gathered around me.”

“Uhuhu, yesterday was terribly refreshing, wasn’t it, Reika-sama.”

Serika-chan was wearing a cruel smile.
One of Tsuruhana-san’s group was sitting in the corner of the classroom, and when our eyes met by chance, she looked away frightened.
Uh oh. Did I threaten them too much?

“Say, everybody. Those girls seem to be reflecting already, so let us not continue this. I have already forgiven them.”

“Eh, but,”

“I do not think that Kaburagi-sama would look well upon us girls being so vicious to each other.”

Everyone looked like they realised some shocking revelation.
Well, it’s not really something I should be saying after picking a fight with him though.

“If you say so, then…”

After giving each other a look, everybody nodded. Thank goodness. Kaburagi is incredibly effective, isn’t he. On the other hand, I can only imagine how quickly they’ll abandon me if they know I became Kaburagi’s enemy.

“Kyah! It’s Emperor and Enjou-sama!”

“Eh-”

Kaburagi, and for some reason Enjou as well, suddenly entered the classroom. Oh crap, are they here to announce my death sentence!? Are they here to take me to the guillotine!?
My heart pounded as I waited for the enemy’s move. Geh-! He’s coming this way!
The girls sitting around me displayed some unwanted consideration and parted left and right. Kaburagi was right in front of my eyes now.
M-, My stomach…
Suddenly, his fist smacked down on my head.

“NGYAH-!”

OW! I-I BELIEVE IN NON-VIOLENCE! AND I LET OUT A WEIRD VOICE!

“We’re even now.”

As I was cradling my head and moaning, Kaburagi left those words before heading back to his seat.

Hah?

“Aahh, sorry about that, Kisshouin-san. I kiiinda have something to talk to you about. Are you free?”

All of my followers started kicking up a fuss again. Ah, deja vu.
But it was impossible to refuse this time. I want a peaceful school life.
My friends seemed to be having another terrible misunderstanding, because I was seen off under their envious gazes. As I rubbed my head, I was once again taken to that staircase.
Scary… Is this guy my executioner!?

“Is your head okay? He really shouldn’t have hit you. But well, at least that’s his way of apologising.”

“Apologising?”

You apologise by punching people in the head?

“We had a good talk after you left, yesterday. We realised that we were being kind of irresponsible, and reflected on it. But Masaya’s just stubborn, so he couldn’t bring himself to apologise honestly. That’s why he said stuff about being even instead.”

What the heck. What a loser emperor.
But then, does that mean that Kaburagi isn’t angry anymore?
I’m not going to be enemies with all the Kaburagi fans?

“I explained to everyone in the salon. I told them that we did something to make you angry. Luckily there weren’t too many people. I made sure to forbid them from speaking, so there shouldn’t be any rumours.”

“Um, thank you very much.”

“Also, I’ve reflected on what I did as well. Sorry.”

Enjou gave me a bow.
Uwah, being apologised to makes it scarier and scarier!

“Ummmmm, so does that mean that we will forget about what happened yesterday?” I asked timidly.

“Of course,” he nodded.

Is he reallly being honest~? Is he acttuallyy still plotting something~? Sooo suspiciouss~

“Your expression says that you don’t trust me at all. Am I really so untrustworthy?”

Er, I can’t really say that to your face, so I’m going to pretend I didn’t hear it. What a great skill this is.

“I really do feel bad though. As an apology for Masaya’s punch too, please give me a good hit.”

Ehh, is this his plan to get more blackmail material?
But well, I still want vengeance for my stomach and hair.
But I’ll pass, since it’s suspicious. And I’m an ojousama. Violence is just beyond me.

“If you don’t at least hit me, I won’t be able to feel at ease. Don’t worry, and just hit me. Although I’m not Masaya, this time we’ll really count it as even, okay?”

“You truly will not hold a grudge? For example, using this to threaten me later.”

“I won’t, I said.”

Hmmmm~ Then should I just do it?
Enjou leant his face forward a little to make it easier to punch.
I see. Well then.

“GUH-!”

A gouging hook to the solar plexus.
If I hit you on the face, everybody would see, right? It’s a basic skill to hit where they can’t see.

“Well then, I suppose we truly are even now. Right, Enjou-sama?”

Enjou quickly nodded again and again as he clutched his stomach.
Alright!
I left Enjou behind and returned happily to my classroom.
I don’t really get it, but I somehow managed to escape the guillotine! Looks like the Rococo Queen escaped being turned into a dullahan!
Maybe I’ll reward myself later with some high calorie Annatorte~

Annatorte, a signature cake of Café Demel, famous also for its Sachertorte. Layers of chocolate sponge and chocolate butter cream, with a strong chocolate taste and a hint of hazelnut.

With all of the annoyances settled, I passed each day in great spirits.
At Sakura-chan’s demand, I went and investigated Akizawa-kun and that kouhai girl.
Hmmm~ I guess you could say that they’re close?
But in the end I wasn’t sure, so I decided to ask the man himself.
I quietly followed Akizawa-kun and waited for my chance. When there was nobody else around, I softly whispered out to him.

“Akizawa-kun, Akizawa-kun.”

“UWAH-! Kisshouin-san!? Why are you in the shadows like that?”

Is there really a need to be that surprised?

“There was a little something I wanted to ask you.”

“Eh-, what?”

“To be blunt, what kind of relationship do you have with Toriumi-san?”

“Eh-!”

Akizawa-kun gave me a startled expression. Oh my?

“Why are you asking something like that?”

“I was told to investigate.”

“…Sakurako, huh. Kisshouin-san, you seem to be quite close to her. Even though she’s so afraid of strangers.”

Afraid of strangers? That queen with the tongue of poison? Does Akizawa-kun not know her true self?

“I cannot reveal my client. Well? What kind?”

“Ehhhhh… I don’t really…”

“Just a normal senpai-kouhai relationship?”

“Hmmmm.”

“What a terribly vague attitude. She gave you a Valentine’s chocolate, did she not? Was it obligatory? It cannot be that it was a serious one?”

“…I guess she might have written something like that in the card?”

What the! So Sakura-chan really was on the mark!? I’m sorry for making light of you.

“Don’t tell anybody, okay?”

“Naturally. Well, what did you do?”

“I told her sorry and rejected her. And she said that she understood. That should have been the end, but the other day Neesan went and spoke about how I got a chocolate from a girl in front of Sakurako. Apparently Neesan just decided to enter my room.”

“Goodness.”

“And then Sakurako asked me why I kept it hidden.”

Uwahh, interrogation by Sakura-chan? How scaryy.

“It feels like Sakurako’s been angry the whole time since then. What do I do?”

“Hmmm. How about asking her out on a date?”

“Eh-, a date!?”

“Yes. Lately you have been doing nothing but training, so I think she has been lonely. I am sure she would be overjoyed to go on a date with you. As for where, let me see… How about paddle boating at Inokashira Park? It is quite a standard couple’s spot.”

Inokashira Park in western Tokyo. A popular tourist attraction.
Inokashira Park in western Tokyo. A popular tourist attraction.

“But a date? We’re not really like that, but… Mn, I’ll try it. Thanks, Kisshouin-san.”

“Not at all.”

I saw him off with a smile.
But maan~ I did pretty good, huh!
I even received some info on Toriumi-san from one of Ririna’s underlings, but it looks like I won’t have to use it.
May fortune smile upon the clichéd osananajimi couple!

1) In case you’ve never read it, please have a read of the plot synopsis.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Little_Princess

2) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humane_King_Sutra

A passage which is popular in Japan is the four-character expression “the prosperous inevitably decline” (盛者必衰 joushahissui), which in full reads “The prosperous inevitably decline, the full inevitably empty” (盛者必衰、実者必虚 jousha hissui, jissha hikkyo?), and is analogous to sic transit gloria mundi in the West.

This is famously quoted in the first line of The Tale of the Heike, whose latter half reads: “the color of the sāla flowers reveals the truth that the prosperous must decline.” (沙羅雙樹の花の色、盛者必衰の理を顯す Joushahissui no kotowari wo arawasu).

The Tale of the Heike is an epic account compiled long prior 1330 of the struggle between the Taira and Minamoto clans for control of Japan at the end of the 12th century in the Genpei War.

In it, when the Taira clan (the Heike) was finally defeated by the Minamoto army in the Battle of Dannoura, most members of the Taira family threw themselves into the sea.

Emperor Antoku prayed to Amitabha with his little hands put together, but his grandmother, Nii no Ama, said to the Emperor to comfort him, ‘There is a city under the waves,’ then she jumped into the rapid stream of Dannoura while holding the Emperor against her body, thus ending Emperor Antoku’s life at the youngest age among the successive emperors.

Incidentally, according to the story, Nii no Ama was said to have taken the sacred sword Kusanagi with her, one of Japan’s three imperial regalia.

Today, my hair was curled extra perfectly. Last night I used a sheet mask that cost as much as 10,000 Yen per sheet, so my skin was soft and glossy too.
My appearance was completely faultless today!
After washing down my stomach medicine with some water, I took out my favourite fan from my chest of drawers. It’s been getting warm recently, so I don’t think it looks unnatural.
It’s a dainty and beautiful European folding fan with butterfly-pattern black ribs, wrapped in violet and wine red leaves of a flower design. A perfect prop for my battle.
I grasped it tightly in my hand.
I am an actress, I am an actress… An actress! Actress! Actress!
Sally forth! To the frontlines!

The issue is when to take action. I’d like to avoid doing it during breaktime because of all the people here.
I guess there’s no option except after school. They don’t usually leave right after class, so I guess that’s my chance.
I hope it goes well.

“What a lovely fan, Reika-sama.”

“Thank you. I very much like it too.”

I fiddled with the folding fan in my hand.
When our eyes met, Tsuruhana-san snorted again as well, today.
I can’t delay things any longer. I need to settle this before any more white hairs appear.
I waited impatiently for school to end. And I had plenty of stomach medicine to accompany me while I did.

Since it’s scary by myself, I think I’ll have Serika-chan and Kikuno-chan flank me.

After a long time, school finally ended.

*妹*

*妹*

With fan in hand, I left my seat.

“Serika-san, could you accompany me for a little while? I was thinking of having a word with Tsuruhana-san and her friends.”

Serika-chan’s eyes glinted with a sharp light.
She began texting for her best friend Kikuno-chan. Serika-chan was thirstier for blood than I was.
The other girls began gathering around us too.

“Well then, shall we go?”

When I curled my lips upwards, everyone gave a cold smile to match.

When we left our classroom, it didn’t take long to find her. She was coming our way, surrounded by her gyarus.
All the students who planned on leaving early had left, leaving us a hallway devoid of others.
As I continued to open and close my fan, my eyes met with Tsuruhana-san’s.

“You’re in my way, Kisshouin-san. Mind moving?”

Tsuruhana-san gave me a challenging smile, and her followers all started to snicker too.
The girls around me immediately seethed with malice.
Shutting my fan with a snap, I said,

“Tsuruhana-san. Who exactly do you think you are speaking to?”

“Hah?”

Taking a step forward, I continued.

“Say, Tsuruhana-san. When on earth did you gain the right to speak to me in such a manner? A normal student like you, to a Pivoine member like me.”

I pointed my fan at her and suddenly glared dangerously.
I could see the confidence in her eyes shake.

“It appears that the Pivoine’s influence has dwindled quite a bit. It surely has, has it not? For a person like you to take this attitude with me.

I drew closer.

“Oh. Or were you perhaps instead implying that the Tsuruhana family is even greater than the Kisshouin family? I had no idea. I never knew that my Kisshouin family had grown inferior to the Tsuruhana.
But it seems that you at least, see it that way, correct?
Or is that how the entire Tsuruhana family sees it? That the Kisshouin family is one to make light of, that is.
If that is the case, I must really have a word with my father. It seems like we will have a lot to ‘deal with’.

“Say,” I continued with a smile, as she grew paler and paler. “You know, I very much dislike conflict. Because of that, I have overlooked your behaviour for a long time. But lately, you seem to have gotten a little full of yourself. Do you not think so?”

“…”

“Or could it be, Tsuruhana-san, that your behaviour was actually a declaration of war? If that truly is the case, then with my power as a Pivoine, as well as with all my power as a Kisshouin, I do not mind keeping you company.”

Finally, grazing her cheek with my fan, I whispered into her ear,

Well?

Tapping the silent and still girl with my fan, I prompted her for an answer.

“…My deepest apologies, Reika-sama,”

she replied bitterly and painfully, her skin still white as a sheet.

I responded with the sweetest smile I could muster.

“Goodness. As long as you understand, I shall not give you any trouble, you know? Because I truly find no amusement in crushing you. As long as you refrain from irritating me, all shall be well. Are we clear?”

“…I understand.”

“Well then, good friends of Tsuruhana-san, are we clear as well? Of course, if you are dissatisfied, please feel free to speak. As long as you are prepared for the consequences,” I added, slapping the fan onto my palm.

All of her friends hung their heads as well, expressing their joint agreement.

“Good. It brings me such joy that you are all so understanding. Please have a little moderation in your actions from now on. Well then, everybody, gokigen’you.”

After giving a final, dark, Enjou-styled smile, I turned my back to them, my skirt fluttering behind me.
All of my followers followed suit and bade them farewell, before following behind me.
Because I suddenly noticed a gaze, I looked forward to find Kaburagi giving me a disgusted look before walking away.

“You did it, Reika-sama! I feel so refreshed!”

“That look on her face! It serves her right!”

When we arrived back in the classroom, all of the girls erupted in joy.
But almost none of their voices reached my ears.
What the hell was that look.
That look that was completely looking down on me. What the hell was that!
Who do you think pushed me into doing something like this!
DON’T MESS WITH ME, YOU DUMBASS!

“I need to head to the Pivoine for a little!”

“Eh-, Reika-sama!?”

I flew out of the classroom.

The last thing I wanted was to use the power of my family.
But I didn’t have any other way. Could I have helped it?
I know that if our family ever falls into ruin, doing this is only going to bite me back. What would I do if I get treated like Sara?
The prosperous eventually decline. Pride will have a fall. I don’t wanna live in a city beneath the wavesss!
Wai-, hey! Even while I’m agonising here, he still has no idea, does he!
Kaburagi, I hope your whole head turns white!

When I arrived at the salon, Kaburagi was enjoying tea with Enjou. I strode right towards them, and Kaburagi gave me a puzzled look.

“Kaburagi-sama, I need to have a word with you.”

“…What?”

“Could you take some responsibility and begin cleaning up after your own messes? Could you not at least control your own followers?”

“It’s not like I tell them to follow me. They just make trouble on their own. To begin with, I don’t even pay attention to them. And I have no recollection of accepting them as my followers.”

“Because they made the decision to follow you, it is none of your business, you say? So you dare to say something so irresponsible. It truly makes one question whether you even have what it takes to be the next leader of the Kaburagi Group.”

“What did you say!”

“Did I misspeak? If you cannot even properly handle such a tiny group of people, I can scarcely imagine the difficulties you will have in the future.”

Since he glared at me, I glared back at him.
Around that time, Enjou stepped in.

“Now, now, you calm down too, Kisshouin-san. Aren’t you letting the blood rush to your head a little?”

This time I glared at him.

“Could you stop pushing your friend’s problems onto me? I believe I have more than paid back the debt. I’m sick of cleaning up after you.”

“Oi!”

“Masaya. Yeah, sorry about that. I’ve caused you trouble, huh.”

I don’t feel even a speck of sincerity from your apology, you know.

“Well then, I take my leave. Gokigen’you.”

Leaving the salon, I decided to just skip my lessons, and headed straight home.

*妹*

*妹*

*妹*

I was excited from my victory against Tsuruhana-san, and rash because of my anger at Kaburagi, but once all that cooled down I became terrified.
I went and said something unbelievable to Kaburagi.
Because I was so agitated, I had lost all sense of judgement. And of all things, I went and picked a fight with Kaburagi!
I’ve done it now. I’ve so done it now.
Oh my godd…
But it was all his fault, okay! I didn’t do anything wrong!

*妹*

The moment I reached home, I hid under my futon and trembled.
And then at some point I grew angry again and fell asleep as I sulked.
When I woke up, I binged on salad-flavoured rice crackers.

Even though I tried so hard to become an easy-to-get-along-with character, because of that stupid Kaburagi, I sped straight down the road to Domineering Reika-sama, didn’t I!
Goddammmitttt, I’ll open a pack of mugichoco too!

Mugichoco. Puffed barley cereal, coated in sweet milk chocolate.
Mugichoco. Puffed barley cereal, coated in sweet milk chocolate.

…………That embarrassing actress mode became some splendid dark history.
Who on earth was I even channelling. Just remembering it makes me want to writhe.
Geez. Why was Kaburagi even watching that.

Reika-sama – 066

Everybody, please check the FAQ first before asking me questions.
If it’s not on there, please feel free and ask. I only get annoyed at questions when the same one has been asked 10+ times, and by then I’ll have updated the FAQ.

Thank you for your consideration, guys!

Also, I still have a report on Monday, and a final exam on Tuesday, so I’m still translating a bit slowly.

Tsuruhana-san has been getting bolder and bolder by the day.
It looks like she doesn’t even put me in her eyes anymore.
She and her friends always kick up a huge fuss to gain Kaburagi’s attention. Annoying to the extreme. How on earth could Kaburagi hold any interest towards her because of something like this.
And my group’s dissatisfaction has only been growing.
A number of times now, the strong-willed Serika-chan and Kikuno-chan have led my group to butt heads with them.
And apparently each time, they’d be mocked “Woww~ These goodie two shoes are soooo scaryyy~” which just angered them more.

“I cannot stand this any longer! They just keep getting noisier and don’t reflect on how they’re bothering Kaburagi-sama at all! Reika-sama, please say something to them as well!”

“Yeah! Even Tsuruhana-san shouldn’t be able to stand up to you, Reika-sama!”

Whoawhoa, I don’t have that kind of power, okay? Tsuruhana-san completely looks down on me.
After all, I’m pretty sure when we went on that excursion and she saw me struggling to climb the mountain, she decided that I was nothing to fear.
I really struggled that day. Around the time I was only halfway up the mountain, she and her friends had apparently already been kicking a fuss around Enjou and Kaburagi on the summit.
In the end Kaburagi snapped and yelled “Shut up!” though. And while all this was happening, I was getting the label of ‘totally useless’ stuck to me.
This is badd…
Isn’t there some way to settle things peacefully?
A few days later during a break, somebody stormed into our classroom to yell.
It was the new Student Council President.

“Oi, Tsuruhana! Stop barging into other people’s classes! You’re causing trouble for the students here!”

“Hahh? Who do you think you are, External?”

“I don’t want to be told that by vacuum-brains like you. Do as I say and come back. And also, don’t think I can’t see those piercings through your hair. They’re against school regulations. Take them off.”

“What did you say!”

Although a group of girls started glaring at him, he showed no signs of budging.

“Don’t make me repeat myself. Take out your piercings, and get out of this classroom. We’ve received a flood of complaints about you.”

Maybe they were pressured because he was a whole head taller than them, but they harrumphed and then left.
It felt like the whole room let out a sigh of relief.
My classmates started looking at the President with a gaze of respect.
Yup, as expected of you, Silver-Haired Stuco Pres.
While I was applauding him in my mind, Silver Hair turned my way.

“And do your job as class rep properly.”

I got scolded.
Uu, sorry.
Having said all that he needed to, the Student Council President left as well.

“This new Student Council President might be a little cool.”

“Yeah, he’s so manly. Ah! But he was so rude to Reika-sama. How unforgivable.”

“No, I did not mind at all.”

The girls who were in a daze suddenly followed up on their comments to appease me.
I really don’t mind. Instead, I’m thankful for his rescue. Yepyep, you really were a righteous guy, weren’t you, Silver Hair-kun.
But wow, good job seeing those tiny piercings beneath the hair. Or was it that somebody tattled?

“As I recall, it was this Student Council President that went head to head with Emperor in last year’s cavalry battle, wasn’t it.”

“Actually, I thought he was cool too…”

“Eh-, actually, so did I…”

Oh ho~? It looks like he already has a number of fans. And he’s more approachable than the unattainable Kaburagi and Enjou duo.

“What was his name again?”

“Mizusaki-kun. Mizusaki Arima-kun,”

I answered fluently.
Everyone gaze me a surprised look, but of course I know him.
Because I’ve always secretly sympathised with him!
As for why, it’s because he was in Kimidol, and as Emperor’s love rival who lost in the end, to me, he’s a fellow stalking horse!
Arima(has a horse) is an Atema(stalking horse)? Pfftpfftpfft, so silly.
But although we’re both stalking horses, his position was decisively different to Kisshouin Reika’s. He never did anything dirty like Reika did, and fought Emperor head-on until the end. Because of that, he even formed a friendship between men with Emperor.
After spending all that time expressing your love for her, in the end you have your heroine snatched away? Truly a stalking horse! If I’m the evil stalking horse, then you’re the good stalking horse! We’re stalking horse comrades!
You had silver hair in the manga, so it feels a little odd that your hair is black, but I think you look great like this too, Fellow Stalking Horse.
And well, to begin with nobody in Japan, or rather, nobody on earth actually grows silver hair. I think you’d look good if you dyed it silver too, but you definitely wouldn’t, would you.
You know, it really was cool seeing the manga cover with black-haired Emperor and the silver-haired President flanking the heroine.
But anyway, I’m your ally, Fellow Stalking Horse. I’ll watch over you, so feel free to head straight down your stalking horse highway!

“Reika-sama? Is something the matter?”

“No, nothing of the sort.”

Everybody watched me with strange expressions. No good, no good.
I smiled and pretended nothing happened.

*妹*

*妹*

Fellow Stalking Horse’s warning was of no use because Tsuruhana-san and co. were indulging in Kaburagi appreciation as usual.
And their hostility towards us became more and more obvious.
Just recently, Tsuruhana-san finally knocked into me on purpose.

“My, I’m so sorry, Kisshouin-san. Are you okayy?”

“…Yes.”

“You’re not very athletic and you’re slow too, so you really need to take more care of yourself.”

TWITCH.
Tsuruhana-san and a few girls were snickering, but the other girls around realised things were bad and exchanged a look.

“Hey! What do you think you’re doing to Reika-sama!”

“It was an accident, I said. You’re so annoying.”

“Whatt did you sayy!”

Oh crap, it’s turning into an issue. I stopped them in a panic.
It looks like Serika-chan and the others are close to their limit.
I guess I can’t hold on for much longer…

*妹*

*妹*

Today I went to my favourite hair salon.
Phew, I can finally relax. At Okaasama’s orders, I had the usual. Treatment for my hair, and a trim for its ends too.
I elegantly enjoyed the herb tea they brought out.

“Ah-, this is…”

The beautician was fiddling with my hair when her eyes went wide.
Mn? What’s wrong?

“Reika-sama, you have a white hair back here.”

EEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

“W-, White hair!?”

“Yes. It’s the middle so it isn’t very noticeable though. See?”

It felt like my heart would stop from the shock.
In the opposite mirror, there certainly was some white hair on the back of my head.
Speaking of which, lately the back of my head has been feeling a little funny. I thought that perhaps a spirit was possessing me, but that was me growing white hair?
It’s the stress. I grew white hair because of stress. Didn’t that happen to the Rococo Queen as well!
A maiden in her third year of middle school with white hair…

“It’s okay, Reika-sama. It’ll go back to normal in no time. It wouldn’t be good to pluck it, so I’ll snip it at the base. And let’s give you a head spa too. It’s not too good to be too tense.”

“…Please.”

I walked unsteadily over to the shampoo stand.

I’m done. At this rate, my whole head will turn white.
Trading the silver-haired President for the white-haired Queen…

I resolved myself and made my decision.

*妹*

*妹*

“Yeah, he’s so manly.”

The word used here was actually wairudo-kei, (wild type). If anybody has watched Ouran Host HS Club, the tall dude is often referred to as the “wild type”.
According to my internet research, wild types are vaguely associated with the following ideas:

Instead of cultured and refined, they’re more rough and rugged.
Instead of reserved, they’re bold.
Instead of having pale skin, they’re tanned.
Instead of having carefully done hair, more likely it’s messier or unstyled.
They’re vigorous and full of life and vitality.
They’re more muscular, and of a less skinny build.
They look like they’d have a better chance of surviving if you threw them into the wild.
Chopping wood (LOL)

Oh, if you’ve read Mei Gongqing, there’s a decent example. If Wang Qilang is the refined type, then that makes Murong Ke the wild type, and maybe Ran Min too.

In Japanese schools, you can have lunch in your classroom, or leave it to have lunch elsewhere. What ‘elsewhere’ comprises depends on the school.

Kaburagi’s female fans have been creating a fuss in class, but never go as far as actually causing trouble for others. They just get really loud during breaks is all. It was just like last year with Enjou.
Except, since Kaburagi’s temper has a lower boiling point than Enjou’s, they’ve been probing for his limit as they enjoy being around him.
At a glance, it seems like there’s no problem as long as you deal with the noise, but since there are more people in the classroom, sometimes there are kids whose seats get stolen by these girls. So a few timid kids have been having trouble with not being able to sit at their own desks.
What should I do. If I keep warning them every time, they’re going to think of me as a nag, and as a class rep, it’s not like I can turn a blind eye either.
I wonder what Enjou did last year. I wasn’t a class rep, so to be honest I didn’t really pay attention to the others.
And I recall Enjou gently chiding them not to invade other people’s classrooms.
In Term 1 they really were noisy, but after a while things worked out pretty fine, I think. Well, maybe we just got used to it though.
Still, I’m definitely not going to start managing Kaburagi’s fans.
And Monk Boy keeps looking at me with pleading eyes. It’s impossible, I tell you.
Tsuruhana-san is in that fan group. I’ll create even more conflict if I say something to her.
Aahh, the silent complaints from all those victims are…
Hah, can’t be helped.

“Tsuruhana-san, I am sorry to disturb you during your conversation, but it seems that this girl needs her seat back, so could you move?”

“…Hmmm~ Whose seat was this again?”

She looked around the room with a challenging gaze.
The eyes of the seat owner began to swim.

“Hey, could I borrow your seat for a little?”

“Ah… yes, please do. I don’t need it yet…”

Geh-! I’ve been abandoned!
Hey, you can’t do that, okay? It’s because you complained that I came here to say this to her.

“So she says. That fine? Kisshouin-san?”

Tsuruhana-san chuckled.
She’s a real piss-off. But since there’s no victim, I can’t say anything back.

“I see. If the girl herself is fine with that, then I have nothing to say. My apologies for bothering you.”

“It must be roughh huhh~ Being class rep.”

I walked away with a smile of composure, somehow managing to hide the stiffness.
Damnniiitt! I lost!
Serika-chan welcomed me back with a disgruntled expression. I’m sorry for being a coward!
This won’t do. That this rate, far from a showdown with between our two groups, I might be overthrown in my own one.
All of this is Kaburagi’s fault! It’s because he’s so irresponsible! Well, I’m aware this is just an excuse though!
Kaburagi was paying no attention to the girls at all, instead talking happily to the boys about sports.
He has no idea how much other people are suffering… Heavens above, please let a bird poop on that guy’s head.
Maybe I should just bring some folding chairs into the classroom and set up a Kaburagi Viewing Corner or something.

Lately I’ve been trying to avoid buying sweets when I go snack shopping at the convenience store.
I’m afraid of getting fat and pimples, you see.
In exchange, I’ve started eating more onigiri and sandwiches. It’s healthier and more nutritious than sweets, you see. It’s a shame that it doesn’t keep well, though.
I get chauffeured on weekdays, so I secretly do my snack-buying on weekends and during the breaks in cram school.
Lately there have been a lot of new onigiri flavours. But in the end, yakishake grilled salmon is my favourite.
And recently I’ve been immersing myself in some stupid hobbies to forget about my troublesome school life when I’m at home. Yes, I realise that it’s just escapism…
Anyway, for today I’ve got my ‘Convenience Store Onigiri Rankings’.
Right now, I’ve got yakishake at number 1,

Yakishake grilled salmon onigiri
Onigiri made with yakishake grilled salmon

mixed chicken rice at number 2,

Chicken gomoku mixed rice
Gomoku Five Ingredients mixed rice typically come with some of the following: matsutake, shiitake, bamboo shoots, burdock root, fresh soybeans, chestnuts, chicken, fish, or oysters.

and maybe mentaiko roe at number 3?

65c
Mentaiko(明太子) is the marinated roe of pollock and cod is a common ingredient in Japanese cuisine. The taste is salty, spicy, savoury and ocean-like.

Ah, but the omurice one from the other day was yummy as well.

Omurice in portable form
Omurice in portable form

As I gobbled down my onigiri, I suddenly got a call from Sakura-chan.

“Sakura-chan? What’s the matter?”

“There’s a little something I’d like to ask. Hm? Are you eating something, Reika?”

“I just had fondant chocolate.”

“You’re going to get fat eating that at night, you know.”

“…I’ll be careful. Anyway, what was it you wanted?”

“Oh right! There was this girl who gave Takumi a Valentine’s Chocolate!”

Valentine’s? It’s been a pretty long time since.

“Why are you talking about it now? And who?”

“Becausee! I only just found out today. I heard it from Takumi’s oneesan. The girl is his track and field club kouhai. Do you know her?”

Uh, you didn’t even tell me her name, but no, I don’t know her.

“Isn’t it just obligatory chocolates?”

“Reika. You’re making light of Takumi.”

Ridiculous. It’s true that in primary school he had a cute face like a squirrel, but maybe because of the daily training, since entering middle school I think he’s gotten pretty sharp-looking, okay?

“Find out what kind of girl she is.”

“Mm~mm, if it’s just having a look, I don’t mind. But I’ve got a lot on my hands right now.”

“Exactly what problems do you have?”

I started grumbling to Sakura-chan about my troubles as a class rep.

“Reika, isn’t it because you’re so meek that they’re looking down on you? Go let them have it. And then maybe talk to Emperor too.”

“Eehhh~ I can’t do eiitherr of thosee~”

“Then give up.”

“Uu…”

They’re not causing too much harm right now, so I want to avoid directly confronting them.

“Reika, you have a bad habit of running away and binge eating as stress relief, so you really need to be careful. What about doing yoga? I’m doing yoga at home right now.”

“Yoga, huhh.”

I know the word yoga, but all that comes to mind is Indians in acrobatic poses.

“Yoga calms the heart, you know.”

Eh-, but your heart isn’t calm at all. But you’re scary, so I’m not going to say that.

Since Sakura-chan gave me some recommendations on yoga DVDs, I guess I’ll check them out later. I’ve gotten pretty sick of hula hooping, so it’s good timing I guess.

And maybe I’ll even open my third eye?

*妹*

*妹*

The next day, I went to have a look at that kouhai as per Sakura-chan’s orders.
From what I could see as I peered into her classroom from the hallway, and observed the surroundings, she was a tanned, energetic-looking girl. The complete opposite type to Sakura-chan, the archetype Japanese beauty. Now then, coming here was fine and all, but what do I do after this?

“What are you doing here, Reika-san?”

I jumped at the sudden voice from behind. When I turned around, I found Ririna standing there.

“What are you doing here, Ririna?”

“What, you ask? This is my classroom. Could it be that you needed me for something?”

This was Ririna’s classroom? Then does that mean she’s in the same class as that girl?

“Say, that Toriumi girl. What is she like?”

“Why do you want to know that, Reika-san?”

“There are some circumstances.”

“Well apparently, she’s a sports committee member, and her energy is her good point. I’m not all that close to her yet, so I don’t know much more. Do you guys know?”

Ririna started asking her subordinates instead.
Her meek-looking subordinates gave answers like, “I think she’s in the track and field club.” and “She’s cheerful, and has a lot of friends.”

“I see. Thank you. Also, thank you for getting along with Ririna. I hope you will continue to look after her.”

“Why are you saying that! It’s none of your business, okay!”

Ririna turned a little red. Hey, if you fall, it gets me wrapped up as well, okay?

“More importantly, umm…”

Ririna suddenly grabbed my arm, and brought me further into the hallway away from the others.

“Lately that Tsuruhana-senpai and her friends have been getting bolder towards your group but, are you okay?”

Even Ririna sees it that way?

“I am fine. They have nothing to do with us.”

“Take care, alright? If you fall, it gets me wrapped up as well, okay?”

She was thinking the same thing?
This whole thing has turned into something pretty annoying.

Anyway, I messaged Sakura-chan with exactly what I heard from Ririna and her group.
She replied, “I need you to continue your observations.”
Geez, I don’t think you need to worry so much. I’m sure they were obligatory, okay?

Evil God Average Paywall

How would you guys feel if I put the light novel parts behind a paywall?

That is, you show me proof of purchase of any of the light novels, and I’ll give you the password to the light-novel-only portions.

What happened is that the third volume was originally supposed to be all physical, but the editors at Takarajimasha(the publisher), told Yuzuki Kihiro-sensei that it would be fine to upload the second part of the novel online.

Kihiro Sensei: “Eh-? It’s okay to put up some of the new stuff on the internet?”

Sensei’s Agent: “Yes. It’s true that it would sell better to have more new content for the novel, but…”

Kihiro Sensei: “Right? I was sure that the publishers would want more exclusive content for the light novel.”

Sensei’s Agent: “Yes, but we think what’s most important of all is that the publication makes the web novel fans happy.”

Kihiro Sensei: (A-, A halo!?)

So I was hoping that maybe I could help increase the sales just a little bit. The free portions are already quite sizable, and are a complete section of their own.

I’m sure that pirating and stuff can’t be helped, but unlike with Baka-Tsuki’s light novel translations, we’re already getting a huge amount of free content.

That’s why I’m hoping that I can get even one or two extra sales by doing things this way instead.

Of course, if people agree and cooperate, I’ll try and translate the light novel faster as well.
