Thank you for the birthday wishes everybody! Yesterday was great. Although, I’m actually posting this 1 minute from when it will have become the day before yesterday…

Apparently Ririna completely ignored my warning, and continued trying to get close to Kaburagi. But apparently the upperclassmen girls were like a wall and things didn’t go as she wanted.
Anyway, thanks to that, I lost my composure and spoke to a first year Pivoine girl in Ririna’s class.
When I asked her,

“Is Ririna causing you trouble?” she answered, “Not at all,” but expression told a completely different story. So I told her “I’m so sorry. I will speak to her later,” and apologised.
The girl was flustered that I was apologising to her, but I asked her to immediately tell me if Ririna was causing problems. Anyway, if she’s doing crazy stuff where I can’t see her, I need to know.

Once time when I was heading to the salon, she ambushed me and pestered me to take her along. I told her that I couldn’t but she wouldn’t listen. Thankfully, Aira-sama happened to be walking past, and she gently persuaded her.
Later on she called me and asked, “Who was that wonderful person!?”
In the end, I heard from her that her mother was originally a Pivoine member, and as a child she talked to her about it. She claimed that if she lived close to the primary school, she would “Definitely have gotten in!”
But well, even if she told me that, the reality was that she entered as an External from middle school, so she was disqualified from it. The rules are the rules.
Apparently her conceit is coming from the misconception that she’s actually Pivoine as well.
What an idiot.
Later, Tsuruhana-san told me sarcastically, “What a cute cousin you have.” I couldn’t find anything to say.
I think my stress is hitting its peak.

And so, I’ve come to a fast food place.
I haven’t entered before out of fear that somebody would see me, but I don’t care anymore.
With all my stress, I have to eat, or else!
I ordered my first fast food since being born in this world with a pounding heart. I asked for a cheeseburger, and a large chips. For my drink, I went with oolong tea.
Just in case, I sat in the corner. And I felt a little out of place too.
I took a bite of my cheeseburger. Uwah, so nostalgic! I remember this taste!
A ketchup covered meat patty, with pickles, onion and cheese! What a cheap taste!
Maybe because I’m always eating good food, I was a little shocked at how it tasted even cheaper than I remembered, but I guess that’s fast food for you.
The chips are so yummyy. There’s heaps of ketchup too.
It felt like the more I filled my stomach, the more the stress melted away. Hahh, I’m so glad I came.
But I wonder what I should do about Ririna.
Thinking about it carefully, she has similar tastes in men to me.
We love Oniisama, but then as a romantic partner, we go for the complete opposites to him, Tomoe-senpai and Kaburagi. We admire Aira-sama as well. Uwahh, I really don’t wanna be similar to her.
But then I used to loiter about Tomoe-senpai as well, didn’t I.
Earlier, I apologised to Aira-sama. She gently consoled me, telling me “You have it rough, don’t you, Reika-chan. If there’s anything I can do to help, just tell me,” but I absolutely couldn’t bring myself to trouble her like that.
As for Kaburagi, I’m so scared that I can’t look him in the eye anymore. Just imagining how angry he must be gives me the shakes. But I guess maybe I really should gather my courage and apologise once?
Aahh~ Why did that girl have to make it into Zui’ran?
I gulped down the watery tea.

Maybe because of what Aira-sama said, Ririna didn’t try and push her way into the salon anymore.
But she was still following Kaburagi as usual.
Even my group was starting to really frown. This is bad… At this rate, my position is in danger.
When I said “I’m really sorry,” they said “It isn’t your fault, Reika-sama,” but I doubt they’ll be saying that forever.
Lately, my stomach has been hurting often since 1st period.
I can’t go without stomach medicine. It hurts too much now.
Should I just flip out?

One day, Ririna finally angered Kaburagi.
While he was seeing Yurie-sama off, she tried to get close to the two and speak to them.
It’s a rule amongst his followers that they should never approach Kaburagi when he’s with Yurie-sama, and especially not get in his way, but Ririna ignored it.
Kaburagi is fundamentally indifferent to the noisy girls around him. No matter what they do, he pays them no attention. But when it involves Yurie-sama, it’s a different matter.
When it comes to those who interrupt his precious time with Yurie-sama, he takes off the mask of indifference he usually wears, and shows his emotions.
It’s because they know this that the girls around him will never approach him at these times.
But did Ririna not know that? Since the other nuisances weren’t here this time, she ran over to Kaburagi like it was her chance, just as he was trying to get into a car.
And even though Yurie-sama needed to go to prep school, she ignored the atmosphere and tried to hold them back, so Kaburagi snapped.
He shouted “Cut it out! Never come near me again!” and left Ririna standing there, before riding off with Yurie-sama trying to calm him down.
When I heard all this from Ririna on the phone, I felt dizzy. What the heck had she done…
She asked me to do something about it, but what can I possibly do.
The person himself said not to come near him, so I warned her to learn from her mistake and just give up, but apparently she hadn’t given up yet.
Somebody save me.

The rumour that Ririna angered him spread in an instant, and I was having trouble keeping my chest high anymore.
Sometimes there are girls that anger him by kicking up too much of a fuss, and it never becomes too big of a deal though.
Still, the stares from Tsuruhana-san’s group are really uncomfortable.

When I went to the Pivoine, I found Kaburagi and Enjou there, so I braced myself and went to apologise.

“It seems that my cousin caused you problems yesterday. I am truly sorry.”

I said, and bowed.
There were other people in the salon, but it wasn’t the time to worry about how I looked.
After staying quiet for a while, Kaburagi gave a huge sigh and said,

“It’s fine.”

Really?

“It’s not really your fault or anything.”

“But she is my cousin.”

“Then do something about it.”

“I have been trying to do something about it, but…”

“You’re pretty useless.”

Kaburagi chuckled at me.
It looks like he’s not angry anymore. Thank goodness.
Feeling relieved, just as I was thinking that I would help myself to some tea, somebody dropped the bombshell,

“Your cousin is here looking for you.”

I headed for the hallway in a panic and found Ririna talking about wanting to directly apologise, and asking me to get him to meet her.
Just how stupid is this girl!?
Anyway, even when I told her to leave, she just dragged things out and kept talking.
After we continued that countless times, the door to the salon opened, and Enjou appeared.

“Hey, you should really cut this out already. If you anger Masaya any more than this, I don’t know what’ll happen to you, okay? I bet you don’t know that your cousin, Kisshouin-san, has been lowering her head to various people for your sake. After all, if you did, you wouldn’t be doing something so shameless, right? The reason that you’re still fine after making so many enemies out of the upperclassmen is because Kisshouin-san has been doing nothing but apologising for your sake. It’s because Masaya knows this that he’s stayed quiet all this time. But even that’s coming to an end.”

Enjou pierced Ririna with a cold gaze.
When a normally gentle person turns angry, it’s really, really scary.
Speaking of which, the manga Enjou got angry like this a few times too, when it came to Kisshouin Reika.
Ririna turned bright red, and then ran off like she was escaping.
At least say goodbye, dammit.

“Umm, I am truly sorry for this. I even bothered you, Enjou-sama.”

“She was bothering us as well. I thought it was about time to do something.”

“Is that so.”

Ririna, you were really on the brink, you know.

“But Kisshouin-san, this means that you owe me one.”

“Heh?”

“It can’t be that you thought I was helping you for free? You’re really naïve, huh.”

Enjou gave a sweet smile and before he headed back in, he left me the words,

“I’ll be collecting my debt one day, so don’t forget, okay?”

EEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!?

Because of Reika, I am off to McDonalds at midnight.

      2. I wind up thinking either Enjou or Kaburagi will wind up going for her. Mostly because because she’s actually not part of the flock of girls hanging around them. So she actually relates to them normally and isn’t impressed by their reputations.
        I do wish Reika would throw her weight around a bit more, but I guess she doesn’t have it in her.

    I’m squealing so damn hard on this Enjou flag I’m scared of myself. I thought that I just want Reika to be happy but apparently the urge to see the calm yet cool and dangerous wolf slowly stalking and then devouring its prey is so damn real!

            1. I fear Enjou would aim at some gap so as to slip by Takateru’s surveillance since Reika isn’t al that monitored by him and strike with a sly tactics when she lets her guard down!

    -after reading Enjou’s dialogue- -falls to the floor from excessive fangirling- my ship, my ship— Enjou x Reika, yay—!
    now then, let me state the inference that can be gotten from the dialogue.-wears my super cool shipping shades-

    Enjou knows what Reika has been doing, he has made the effort to take note of this! This means he cares! Okay? Okay! He(and Kaburagi) know how much effort Reika has put in, even apologising to the people of her own year and the upperclassmen, even though by right, as the leader of the girls population, Reika should not ever have to do it. It shows her sincerity! Both Enjou and Kaburagi took this into account, thus they endured it for a while.

    But since it’s come to the point that Reika felt it necessary to apologise to Kaburagi, I think Enjou wouldn’t stand for it anymore. After all, he knows that Reika is a good, helpful considerate person who has excellent conduct and usually wouldn’t have to apologise for anything(athletics festival preparation, anyone? also, Reika helping Kaburagi with Yurie’s matter in elementary), if not for her cousin’s excessive behaviour.

    Enjou is so cool for helping Reika—! Kyaa—! My ship’s going to sail, I have hope! Hope is so wonderful! I’m so touched! -tears up-

    Oh! I like that the matter of Enjou having gotten angry at the original Kisshouin Reika was mentioned. It creates an excellent contrast to the fact that up to this point, which is 8 years now for them(that is a very long time indeed…), Enjou has not gotten mad at Reika at all. Woah—!

    lol, Reika’s “At least say goodbye, dammit.”!
    Ririna was too frightened by Enjou, ahaha!

    Hah, he says she owes him one now! Funny! This also shows that Enjou treats her differently. It shows that he views her as a friend, or at the very least, someone he has a good impression of. I mean, if Enjou happened to help someone who he has not really taken notice of or care about, judging from his ‘gentle’ personality, he’d just brush it off and go away. He wouldn’t be saying that they ‘owe’ him or something like that. It means he knows Reika would be of help to him, somewhere in the future, ahaha! And that Reika is someone trustworthy!

    Now, lastly(whew, almost the end), he gave her a sweet smile—?! That’s adorable! Ship it, oh my, I ship Reika x Enjou almost irrevocably now! -runs off cheering and happily crying from the awesome scene of my ship-

    If I hadn’t eaten KFC, I’d probably go eat McDonalds too, since it’s across the street and a slight distance away.

    Oh, before I forget. -swiftly faves chapter- ahem, yes, i’ll probably be rereading this chapter a number of times, because, you know, it was a great chapter! Especially with that Reika x Enjou scene! I’m wa—y too excited now, lol!

      I think that ever since the first spy mission, Enjou realised that she was different to the other girls, and quickly began to realise that she was a massive, funny sheep under the wolfskin.

    2. I think it’s more likely that Ririna ends up with Enjou, considering that she gets red and runs away.
      The usual Ririna is shameless and used to get her way, so why else would she react this way? Because of the trouble she caused for her cousin?

      Besides, (if I may borrow some japanese trivia) Enjou appears to be an “M”, but we can obviously see that in reality he’s an “S”under that gentle fassade.
      And Ririna, the “S” who’s secretly an “M”, would be the perfect cookie-cutter partner for this situation.

      If you do not know what an M or S is, you haven’t read enough manga^^

    1. Did you not already realize how majorly f***** up it was? Now just imagine if Reika was the original character, runing the Pivione and acting like Ririna. It becomes a little more apparent.

    2. IMO it’s not quite the same. Members of the Pivoine admire in silence, since Reika said before Enjou and Kaburagi escape from the fan girls there to enjoy peace. But then here comes an external who’s been flaunting around school thinking she’s special and can do whatever she wants, here to bother Kaburagi again. Plus they know she’s been trying to get into the Pivoine, so the apology to Kaburagi can be seen as a ploy for hitting two birds with one stone– setting foot into the Pivoine and regaining Kaburagi’s favor/being close to him. Add to that they all know Reika’s been going around cleaning up her mess even though her status is much higher and she didn’t need to, then a favorable impression would be virtually nonexistent. It’s not clear what her real intentions were at the time just yet, but it’s clear she needs to observe her surroundings better, be more aware of herself and act accordingly.

      Pivoine members naturally have a lot of pride. To let someone like that step foot into their “perfect” society would be disgraceful, wouldn’t it?

    Ririna I dont see her doing anything more or less than those other fangirls are doing, She made one error that she wasnt aware or cared of, no doubt many of them had done the same thing, that special snowflake syndrome. I dont like her arrogance but Kubaragi is worse, personally I find her an annoying lil bitch but she is no worse than some of the others in here.

    Finally seeing Enjou doing something other than being Kubaragis right hand.

    Felt like it came out of nowhere lol. I think Enjou x Ririna would make a nice couple though. You know, that whole “opposites attract” thing and “enemies becoming lovers” shizazz. Through a bad first impression, love blossoms〜 ( ´͈ ॢꇴ `͈ॢ)･*♡

    Then my Kaburagi ship/life raft will have a fighting chance!

    Honestly though, Enjou X Ririna. I’m probably very alone on this though. Ririna will have to go through a lot of changing before Enjou would like her but I feel this could work. Because Enjou is like Onii-san, right? And Ririna loves Onii-san. She might’ve only gone after Kaburagi because he’s the biggest big shot around there and she had the conceit that she could woo him because her personality. Enjou is like Onii-san, but unlike him he can openly reprimand her and show her his other side more easily since they don’t have much connection together, and because she already pissed him off once. Ririna on the other hand is quite innocent/naive. If taught (threatened) well I’m sure she’ll become a good girl, since she had the smarts to enter as an external anyways. Plus, after that cold treatment I doubt she’ll behave like other girls being noisy around Enjou. Another rare animal/sheep in wolf’s clothing found! :3

To be honest even though our Translator Sama has revealed there is a strong Enjou ship ahead ahoy, I think there is more Kaburagi ship signs than Enjou, sure hes got his crush that hes devoted too, but hes the one that has spoken to Reika, if not for Kaburagi would Enjou even have any reason to talk to Reika?

      I think if there is a PV from Enjou in future chapters, where he might look back on the time hes known Reika, then perhaps I can see a possible ship with Enjou, if not then how can we have any romance with him and our lovable MC, I dont like things coming out of the blue without a hint of something more thats developed, I mean hes known Reika for several years, perhaps not closely but she is a Pivone member and sits in that salon with them after all its not like shes a non entity, I want very much to have a timeline of perspectives from these other characters of Reika, aaah I hope so, but so far I dont think that will happen lol, its all been Oniisama,

      To be fair though shes avoided being in there classes for a long time so perhaps her qualities have yet to rub off on them, we will see, I wonder what favour Enjou has in mind, I hope its not something cliche like “be my GF so these other girls leave me alone” or something like that. Maybe this is the opening to the ship that others seem to favor.

Hm…the line actually means that while both Reika and Ririna like Takateru(brotherly manner), Reika romantically likes people like Tomoe-senpai(cheerful), while Ririna romantically likes people like Kaburagi(cool). Just clarifying that, haha! Of course, you can continue to ship the Kaburagi ship…

  50. I’ve just been hit with the sudden revelation! WHAT IF Enjou is just like Oniisama in more ways that meet the eye and actually is interested in Reika’s being slightly dumb and a let-down despite her appearance and is aiming at that gap-moe just like Takateru finds it adorable?!!!?!
