The illustration drawn by Yuzuki Kihiro-sama has been released on the Official Narou Contest website!
The splendidness of this illustration is better seen than described, so it would probably be faster if you saw it for yourself, don’t you think?

Now then, for those of you who have seen the cover illustration, there is a little quiz I would like to give you.

Ｑ：Who is the protagonist of this series?

Yes, it’s Anri-san, isn’t it.
Well then, about Anri-san’s position on the cover illustration, please take one more look.

Anri-san? No matter how you look at is, she has the
LAST BOSS’ POSITION.

Normally on the cover, the protagonist or heroine stand at the front, but Anri-san is at the very back… in other words, in the background. The way this is drawn can only be said to be outside of the norm.
When I was first handed the illustration drawn by Yuzuki-sama, I thought in disappointment;

Eh? Wasn’t I disappointed with the illustration?
It’s more of a “Damn, they really got me.” sort of meaning.

Now then, please look at the last boss’Anri-san’s eyes.
She’s a normal bishoujo isn’t she. Both dignified and beautiful isn’t she.

To those of you who see this and think, “Huh. She doesn’t look mean at all. What a let down.” I say this to you… How naive.

This is her normal mode, or in other words, her this-is-how-she looks-once-it’s-been-through-a-camera-and-picture form.
As for a picture drawn to the image of what somebody who had seen her in the eyes pictures her as…

    Ah. Sorry, I won’t be buying the book. Everyone complains they can never find me a Christmas present, so I am putting it on my list (along with a link to it) so someone else will have to buy it for me XD

    PS: Christmas is too damn commercial nowadays.

        1. Not at all! It was a good question, since some people (like the clown dudes for Slime Datta Ken) like to upload the illustrations.

          My stance is to not do it at all though. If keeping illustrations off here means even one more person will buy a copy of the novel, it’ll have been worth it in my opinion.

          Plus, the price of the novel (inc. shipping) really isn’t that expensive. It’s like 3 subway footlongs in the USA. If you buy more stuff, then the overall shipping is reduced even further.

          People are willing to throw money at translators to get them to translate. Is it really that unreasonable to expect them to throw money at the author instead?

  12. well i like the cover thou… but still leonora steals the highlight.. and y did the artist didn’t include the hero party(LoL) so it makes more balance.. well anyway is that final??

  13. I can’t promise it will be soon, but I’ll buy it in this lifetime! Probably….. I just have to get a decent job and hope the economy doesn’t get shittier here.

    I did not expect the Lich to have a funny hat though. Also didn’t expect to see out fiery red princess to actually look Princess-ish, I was thinking more like a warrior princess kind.
