Hit on the head with a rock, the memories of my previous life returned to me. I, Caterina Claes, am the daughter of the duke, and 8 years old.

[tl: Premise is quite similar to kenkyo, but according to reviews it’s done quite well, and the characters are all interesting. Also unlike Kenkyo, it seems that this protagonist isn’t a complete loser when it comes to romance. Poor Reika. >: Really.]

Because of the changes in circumstances in a neighbouring nation that didn’t even appear in the game, so different that it seemed to have no relation to that flowery school life that was featured in said game, Eliza had no choice up but to pick up arms to defend herself. Just why on earth did things turn out like this?

She has no OP abilities. She can’t use magic either. Her sense of morals may have gone a little funny because of her rebirth.

  8. I kinda insterested with the “Strong-armed” and “Sorry, Oniisama”.
    Oh, is there any gender bender story like these? The protag got reincarnated or transfered to some otome games. But the protag is a “HE”, and the game is the one his sister’s or girlfriend’s. Preferably comedy.
    Also maybe we are on the same line (or wavelenght, or circle, or aura, or qi, or wathever). Too many story with harem setting make me “eneg” (can’t remember the equivalent in english). I prefer comedy that hurting my stomach. Although some smexy time story ain’t bad. But it’s too much naw.

    TL;DR : any sugestion about non-harem and non-pink-story story? With comedy or villain as the protag.

  13. Holy crap these all look so fucking good. Are you going to tease all of them or are you looking for some second opinions? I’m liking the Kenyo + Otoburi ones since I love both of those series. A non-dense Reika or Camille sound like a fun change of pace.

    That “Eaten up” one appeals to my carnal desires too lols. But that’s not the only reason. I like stories that have a big focus on the relationships of a main pair, and that story seems to be all about the two of them. Also most stories have loveable but dense protagonists that move along so slowly (Sorry Reika! But don’t worry we still love you). So I think it will be super interesting to see a novel that starts from the opposition end. The physical relationship happening first, and the emotional after.

    I’ll give my thoughts on all the other interesting synopsis too, but I’m out of time for now. Thanks for the treat Estelion! Lmao I have a feeling once you start translating these everyone is going to be begging you to pick up story X hahaha!

      1. I might be more fine with harems out the wazoo if the harems actually did shit for the MC or allowed the MC to do shit. The biggest problem with harems is balancing the characters in a way where they don’t end up lifeless fuckdolls or completely overwhelm the MC, destroying what character the MC had. I’m fine with harem stories, but there just happens to be too few good ones.(By too few I mean I can’t remember a single one off the top of my head, but there’s almost always an exception to the rule, so it’s better to say it this way.)

          1. Yeah MT really handled the harem situation well. Each heroine was a well developed character with their own traits beyond just being a moe doll that fawns over the mc. Further more they all had good reasons for gradually coming to love and trust Rudeus. Further more the heroine supported each other and actually advanced the plot instead of causing it to muck up in a stagnant swamp of harem hijinks.

            If anyone knows more novels with relationships like in MT recommend away!

      2. I know exactly how you feel! :< I'm fine if the harem is well written, but so many times it's just their because the author has to fill a status quo.

        Sometimes the publishers really want to ham-fist harems into the story. For example, there's this one novel called "The Other World Magic is too far behind!" or "isekai mahou wa okureteru". In the webnovel he has a rivalry of sorts with this one girl. She's totally arrogant and tries unwarranted tries to start shit with the MC. The MC turns the tables on her and scares the living crap out of her, and then the MC goes on his way to do his thing. However in the LN version they changed it so that girl for some reason falls in love with the MC for no good reason except to become a harem member.

    1. well, they’re just teasers in the end. there’s a good chance i’ll do teasers for all of them (only with more chapters for the most popular ones) and if i find one to be short and easy to translate, might pick it up as a side project that’s up for grabs at any time.

      no, i only actively advertise translations. not machine translations. i DO have it linked on my blogroll though, only i’ve found out today from various people that they don’t actually read my blogroll…

  27. Alright! I’ve got some free time so I thought I’d give a couple of more detailed comments on what I think about these interesting stories. They all look good but some look better than others to me hahaha. WARNING SUPER LONG POST INCOMING. TL;DR: It’s just my opinions.

    Lol I went into why this story caught my eye in an earlier post so there’s not much to say. There aren’t many translated stories about MCs that land in THAT kind of a position, then just go with the flow! You’d normally expect a “KYAA ECCHI”, with a male MC getting a slap or if it’s a female MC she’d do the slapping. Time for something different!

    No, I’m not a siscon! I deny it! Really lol, I actually don’t like typical incest stories. They usually end up with a lot of pussy footing and needless drama and questions about taboo that goes round and round. However this story caught my interest because it looks like it’ll be more about the fun of a dame dame but super competent nii-san and her loveable little sister. I’m expecting a heartwarming relationship like Reika-chan and her Onii-sama as opposed to real creepy full on incest. I think it’ll be fun to watch over Elxiac (Dood that name is cool as heck!) as he freakking changes the world due to his overflowing brotherly love.

    More Kenyo/Otoburi! I'm DOWN for this. What put Destruction Flags above the other Otoburi's on the list was Estelion's mention of a sharp protagonist. I love Reika and Camille, but I'd also like to see how someone versed in the ways of romance would do in the Otome game setting. Plus that reverse harem tag has me curious. Caterine over turn the destruction flags and somehow end up with a gaggle of worshipers?? I'd love to see it.

    XD well it's another Otoburi/Kenyo novel, so that instantly puts it up there. Seeing a protagonist that's NOT overpowered sounds like it will be very interesting. I'm ok with OP protags, but that depends on how it's written. Too often the story gets boring due to a lack of tension. With a more balanced protag they have to get creative and solve their problems in a different way. To be honest this synopsis reminds me a lot of the heroine's situation in Otoburi. I just hope Eliza Kardia doesn't get too zealous and start a revolution that turns into a terrorist organization. ;)

    Oh man that synopsis. This sounds like it can be either very funny, or freakking terrifying. It could be the innocent charm of a loving imouto clumsily looking out for her beloved Onii-sama, or a CRAZED YANDERE OUT TO KILL ANY DIRTY GIRLS GOING AFTER ONII-SAMA. That ominous last line and the “non-comedy” tag points to the latter. *shivers* Regardless, this story looks like it'll be a fun read either way.

    I feel you Shinoi-chan! I dislike harems too! Destroooooyyy… or so I'd like to say. However the reason I dislike harems is because it usually drags the story and kills development. Shinoi-chan sounds like she might end up as a burriko villain that gets in the way of her Onii-sama's love. Like that terrible Liliana character from Kenkyo, or how Camille originally would be like. Blargh well I don't think that would be the case, but I don't approve of cock blocking or getting in the way of love.

    Tag check! The tags are all good but hmmm we'll have to see. Shinoi, prove your self to the world! (Or us leechers at least haha)

    7. “Parallel World Strong-Armed Drifter’s Story ~Otome Games Have Declined”

    And finally here's last place. This one SOUNDS interesting at first glance, but I thought about it and realized I probably wouldn't like it very much. Why? Well the main reason is “too much overlap!”. It's pretty much the same thing as a lot of stories already translated! Let me explain, first there's genre overlap. It looks like it'll be a straight up action comedy with lots of hot blooded lols and a combat crazy heroine. Now where have a heard that before? There are TONS of stories out there with the exact same premise! The only thing that's different about this one is that the MC is female, but from the description even that won't matter much. The MC is female but has the mentality of a man…. so like just change the pronoun of one of those other stories and you're good. There's the otome game setting too, but it sounds like the MC is going to ignore that in favor of doing her own hot blooded thing. Next is character overlap. Characters that “aim to be the strongest in the world” are a dime a dozen, and this one just so happens to be a girl. Plus for great comedies we have Tilea and Anri covering that. For an Otome game setting we have Camille, she's got the dense heroine thing down too, but her girl power (conventional, not muscular haha) is higher lol. For a manly knight like girl there's Bea-chan from Otoburi too. Now I don't mind more of a good thing, but I prefer more stuff like Kenyo or Otoburi over a Shounen lols story but with a vagina protag. Still, Estelion's seal of approve is on this story, so I think it might surprise me.

    1. Have you played Drakengard 3? It’s about a powerful warrior woman, her pet dragon who has an adult body but a child-regressed mind, and her reverse harem. All of the members of her reverse harem have some fck’d up trait haha, and one of them happens to be a masochist! There’s a sadist too, and this ugly old dood who happens to be really good at sex despite his looks. X.x but Drakengard 3 is a grim dark game with some really fck’d up stuff. The series is well known for it’s ridiculousness (Cannibalism, pedophilia, incest, child soldiers, demonic giant babies!). It’s defiantly NOT for shounen.

      As for Parallel World… it just sounds exactly as you said. A generic shounen but with a woman. Blargh I’ve had my fill of generic shounen, so I just hope it’s a lot better than it sounds!
