I think she’s fine becoming the villain in order to protect her beloved onii-sama and her ‘abuses’ were done to make him stronger even if it’s killing her inside.
Also as a prodigy, there would be pressure unto you even if you hate it. Even if you’re the clan leader, you are to follow tradition and listen other clan members.

The epilogue chapter title sounds really dark. Almost as if our MC dies and as saying her farewells. Please tell me she didn’t die. I can accept MCs dying in stories but this makes it sound really sad for our MC who just reincarnated from a bad life.

Now I’m really curious. Those character analysis you and everybody else made. That single translated side story. But will we only read this from the MC POV..or others POV gonna be there later? Do you think this story end so fast because the author planned his/her story to end that way or it’s kinda like a forced ending? Hurrr…I prefer happy ending..but I can’t turn my eyes from interesting story and you even said good things about this story…aaaa..thank you for translating it >_<

No, I don’t see how you can call that sort of ending happy at all. It is a complete downer ending and while it was well written and as such set out to do what it had intended to do, as a reader it left me with a big hole in my stomach and an even bigger hole in my heart. A kiss-off ending would have been preferable. But maybe that is because I personally prefer a badly written ending over one that make me cry.

Wow i dont think ill be reading this series, only by reading the tittle of the epilogue makes me sad (it lets little for the imagination), i cant imagine how would i feel after i read the whole thing and actualy care for the characters.

True, the author dropped a ball at some point. Chapter upon chapter of talking heads towards the end do it no favor, and maybe it could’ve used some more groundwork hinting at her issue beforehand. That being said, the first half or 2/3 are excellent imo. One of the rare, rare cases of an OP protagonist done right. And even including its flaws, it’s still an OP protagonist Mahouka could learn a ton from. Alas.

If you click on the link on to the syosetsu page provided on the table of contents (author’s name), you’ll find 完結済 at 28 chapters next to series title which means it’s completed. Also the table of contents list an epilogue. Also I’d recommend looking at the novelupdates page.
