Lol It’s pretty good so far, a little over 1/3 done, on 11.4. I like the story but I gotta say that it reminds me of X-Men XD the one big difference [SPOILERISH] is that there are Endbringers so that people don’t prosecute people with powers as much because of the imminent threat of the Endbringers and the need for said powers for fighting back.

young adults i guess. it’s a growing up story, but is fairly mature, well written, and kind of bleak.
ah, but well, being an amateur thing, it becomes more amazing as it progresses (and the author gets more skilled)
it starts off a bit typical bullied misfit teenager-ey stuff, but develops into so much more than that. shocking, really.

Hi! I started reading otoburi around April and just now decided to follow you and comment.
I love a lot of the web novels on this site, along with your fast releases and sense of humor.
Otoburi has made me crave for stories with similar concepts such as kenkyo ( and oh gosh I wish there were more chapters translated because Reika-sama ftw) and has even made me want to write my own reincarnated-into-a-novel-character trope type of story which I am sure I will lose motivation in after 5k words.
Also, good job for actually motivating a lazy ass like me to actually comment something that took me longer than it should’ve to write.

I thought I was reading a Synopsis, then I got about half way across the page and thought something is wrong here. I kept going. I reached the end and realized I had read all the currently released chapters.

Aahh… I know what you mean, but Oblivion was filled with its own piss-offs. For one thing, everybody was fuck-ugly, and for another thing, end-game adventuring mostly equated to being ambushed by groups of 10 vampires in mixed daedric and glass armour. Not really my idea of fun.

And don’t get me started on having to clear through those fucking Oblivion gates in order to get crafting materials. After the 10th gate, I just got so sick of that place that I just used the ‘kill all’ console command after setting myself to 200 speed or something.
I mean it was just red and black, and the whole place hurt my eyes.

If you mean the gates and the main questline in general I do agree.But the thieves guild,DB and Shivering Isles questlines and some random brilliant quests here and there really made it up for me.
Btw I’m using the mods like character overhaul now because goddamit those faces.As for Oblivion planes the one that turns it into an alien nest.
I didn’t use much mods at first but well thats when I first played the game in like 2008-2009 or smth.Now I’m trying different stuff.
Ah I do rememeber that first one too bad it’s not in skyrim.I think my favourite one was the angel armour from Diablo…yeaa had that Diablo hype back then.

Yeah, the Shivering Isles questline was great.
And yes, I’m talking about the Oblivion gates like the one in the main questline. Not that one specifically though. Main questline was epic. I’m talking about the various ‘extra’ gates that you close before the main questline finishes, so that you can get umm… soul… gems? Whatever the Oblivion equivalent is, for enchanting or upgrading equipment or something. I don’t quite remember, but there was such a system. IT would be the thing at the very end of the dungeon, keeping the gate open.
You’d snatch it, and then you would be teleported outside. If you finished the main quest, all the gates would close, so you had to grind the side gates for your gear equipment before you finished the MQ.

Ah right right you’re talking about Sigil Stones, those things are amazing enchancements if you’re high leveled(level dependent) I’ll personally be aiming for the enchant magica one’s for my build.Load/save till u get the right one so you dont have to grind-or at least that’s how I remember.
Right now I’m level 41 and something like 51 hours in…. haven’t touched the main questline.
Oh and those 10 vampires you were talking about? Yeaaa just control humanoid/frenzy and go invis/shoot arrows from behind.EZ. Illusion is broken in this game.The limit of that spell is definitely NOT level 25 if you take your gear of for ‘spell effectiveness 100%’

The problem with the vampires isn’t that they’re difficult to kill. It’s that they’re ridiculous-looking mobs of bright red and green, and seem completely out of place.
There’s nothing that destroys the atmosphere more, lol. It’s like, here I am, walking along just outside of the Imperial City when BOOM. 10 vampire masters out of nowhere.
Idunno, it just felt immersion breaking and annoying. Plus, there’s no feeling of ‘leveling up’ if everything levels up ridiculously with you. Iy’s kind of like, well, where the fuck did all these vampire bandits get their gear from?

The thing with Oblivion I feel is that you just have to know what you’re doing.There’s a high chance you mess up building your character and then late game becomes Very Very HARD.

Ah, you mean stat point allocation and the bonuses? Yeah, I recall reading a manual of some sort for that. Fun stuff. But not fun enough that I missed it in Skyrim lol.
Actually, I hate Skyrim combat. It’s no fun, and mostly involved not getting hit by magic, and spamming dual-wielded swords.

Yeah, there’s not really much to it. Physical damage hardly amounts to anything, so as long as you don’t stand in the way of the flame blasts, dragon breaths, or icicles, you’re pretty much good.
Everything goes down so quickly with DW swords too.
Playing in 1st person is even more boring, if that’s even possible.

I see you have Skyrim… Ahhh the happiness of Skyrim… Altho I am intrigued in the lack of HDT on armours (I bet its lack of decent armours which aren’t skimpy) and tails (this is probably for the crazy things that always happens with them…). And you need the Schwertleite armor set. (Huge mod junky here… +255 ESPs hell x.x)

Dang, I kinda forgot this place existed… been getting emails from this page since 2016 apparently (usually just ignored them but randomly clicked it today). Hope you have a good time with whatever you are doing. I remember really enjoying some novels from here, although at this point I don’t remember which ones!
